Rossco1991 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Hi guys fitted new motor got it running when it's sat idleing it's making a tapping noise,it's not really loud sounds like a tappit noise, I hav checked the service hole on the inlet cam and I can get a screw driver through so hole is lined up, is there two holes that can line up or does anyone know what it may be? Bussey Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 It might just be the idle control valve mate, try and unplug it and if it stops making the noise then bingo it's that. If it is then don't worry, all of them do it. It's the grey one pictured Quote

mikey4410 Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Revving up and down may well mean u need to clean out ure icv.and immediately after remove the pcv also and put a straight through elbow there to stop the pvc chucking shit back into ure clean icv. :-D Quote
