Wiring key barrel light

Hi peeps my mate kindly donated this to me yesterday, I cut it back as far as I could, could anyone point out what wires are for what & best way to wire it up, I'd like it to constantly glow when the car is running thanks

Id wire the red to the cigarette lighter wiring from the fuse box under the knee panel and the black to earth and see what happens. Not sure what the 3rd wires for. Maybe the under dash lights?

Cheers mate there's 2 reds one black also do you know what the black box is for?

Pass no idea.

And no idea what the other wires are for, prob a feed and return for the footwell lights if you have them.

Well i say no idea, its prob a junction box, it might have an auto off system in it?

ya the black box should be the auto off system

light only suppose to stay on for 10-15 sec or so

Mine just turned up from japan this morning, black with silver is ground, red with black has a fuse inline so i guess thats live, then red white and black i have no idea, guessing it might be back of stereo so its not permanatly on

Under the carpet on the right of the driver's seat in my car is spare plug from the door switch which also triggers the dome/roof light, my car didnt come with an ignition barrel light but the one from my sera plughed into it last i tried, if i remember correctly... But my switch wasnt working and my steering column surround is rotten/broken. The barrel light came on in my sera when I opened the door.
