Does anybody know what the clearance is on a standard 5efe engine with a 0.5mm head gasket? Even 4efte with a standard gasket would be fine

I'm hopeing to build a high compression 5e engine but I want to keep it non interference. I will also be using high lift cams so I will need to add a extra 1mm or so to the valve opening.

Any info is appreciated.

5e-fe, 4e-f pistons, 0.6mm dis head gasket, skimmed head, 5efhe cams. Plenty of clearence.

Intake: 0.118in / 3mm

Exhaust: 0.196in / 5mm

Interesting to note. The 5e-fhe pistons have a larger valve relief than all the others.

Thanks very much for that, it helps a lot.

Here's the picture for anybody that can't see it.
