Slam Panel Rubber

Hi All, just a quick check if I can remove the two rubbers at both ends of the slam panel, obviously without doing any damage to both rubber and panel. Below is a picture of the rubber.

They just twist out mate, the rubber is cut like a corkscrew

EDIT: At least, that's the case on my GT. Can't see them changing the design of them though!

Yeah like Nick said.

Although without them your bonnet wont line up with your wings/lights

Thanks for the replies , will check them out again. wanted to remove them so I can spray the slam panel (because of normal wear and tear when working on the engine).

The V is silver, any ideas what colour they are normally sprayed? was going for a normal grey colour.

colour code will be on the silver plate on bulkhead/firewall
