Chops Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 i run 1 of these there a great manni will give added torque it will also spool a bigger turbo faster if set up rightdamnit, now im interested in it lol. How would it help spool a bigger turbo if u dont mind my asking? Quote
5e colin Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 it just doos dont ask me the tech stuff thats not my area its just wen i changed to my acis it produced more torque spooling her faster puling harder low down Quote
Blue Icarian Wings Posted December 6, 2014 Author Posted December 6, 2014 Has two sets of runners, long only to help low down torque, at higher revs the second short set open to help air speed in. My plan was to use a central locking solenoid to open up the valves, which would be trigged (through a relay) by the shift light from an aftermarket rev counter, allowing easy control of the point at which it opens. Could even have an 'open NOW' switch inside if wanted! Quote
Chops Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 it just doos dont ask me the tech stuff thats not my area its just wen i changed to my acis it produced more torque spooling her faster puling harder low downid assume it was due to the shorter runners having less volume fr the turbo to pressurise, giving shorter spool times and therefore torque earlier in the rev range. More torque might be to do with how the 4e's undersquare nature responds to boost, like turning up the boost on a turbodiesel, but ive no idea im literally guessing lol, hoped youd know for sure! 5e colin Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 (edited) ^^^^ i use 2 vsv valves 1 NO and 1 NC in conjunction with a y piece 1 triggered by my tb at wot and the other 1 by my digital rpm switch at chops i have no phisical proof of roller prints but its gains both low and ( top smal bit ) Edited December 6, 2014 by 5e colin Quote
