NewbieLewby Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Anyone know of ever putting one in a starlet?Cheaper alternative to a 4age maybe Quote
daniel_g Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 It has probably been done somewhere but seems like a lot of work for very little gains. Quote
NewbieLewby Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 Yeah maybe Just asking Cus I saw one go on eBay for 99p lol Quote
morgey Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Same about of work as a 4age swap (they use the same mounts) And for 110hp rather than 125-165hp I would save yourself the hassle and spend some money on a 5efe or a 5efhe and whack a emb on there and get it mapped. Quote
GlanzaJim Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Isit it worth putting a 5efe into a starlet when the 5e is only 89hp? Surely if the paseo engine is a near on swap everyone would be doing and with a rolla mani sure it be over 100hp? Quote
morgey Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Well not overly but its better than the 4efe lol 5efe on 4efe sensors 4-2-1 exhaust and rolla inlet emb would be easiest way to get the most out of an n/a E series without going crazy.Or obviously strap a tubby to one lol Quote
GlanzaJim Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Hmm so why hasnt anyone done this lol? The loom must near on be the same Quote
morgey Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Chris green did a 5efe or fhe build on itbs think its getting work done atm last i heard Quote
daniel_g Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Hmm so why hasnt anyone done this lol? The loom must near on be the sameBetter gains to be had with the 4E or 5E i reckon, get the 4E 100ps ECU and stuff then thats almost 100bhp standard before you mod it. Or get a 5E with all that acis inlet mani setup and add a few bits will probably push 120bhp. Can find a box with pretty short ratios, slam that on and it will be a pretty nippy wee car Quote
