morgey Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Thats not a trd diff. Thats an OEM toyota levin lsd from an ae111. Quote
_shaun_ Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 How can you tell morgey ha! What's the diff like any idea price on them? I was tempted to bid when I thought it was a trd Quote
morgey Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 because it looks exactlt like the levin ones in my 2 boxes lol Quote
_shaun_ Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Alright smart ass! Price and is if decent ha? Quote
morgey Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Erm the boxes go for 150-350 depending on condition. Sometimes u can blag one for 100 when they dont know what they have haha. For a stand alone diff. 100-150? Maybe a bit more Quote
_shaun_ Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Hmm any idea of how they compare to say the aftermarket diffs? Really want a new one but if these are so cheap suprised more people haven't taken to using them Quote
morgey Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Hard to say as I've only driven with these or a cusco that wasnt in the best of ways. For the best part you dont know its there but come to some corners and you can really feel it doing its job i wouldnt say its as intrusive as a clutch type but im sure a well setup clutch type would be a lot better than the cusco i had.I dont think it locks up as well off the line either. But hey for the money whos complaining lol Quote
_shaun_ Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Hmm choices choices can't decide ha I no the zisco boys use the trd diffs for drag racing I'll be sure to harass you again if I find a loose diff in need of id'ing Quote
morgey Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Ill try and help but cant promise anything Haha Quote
Gainzy Posted January 28, 2015 Author Posted January 28, 2015 I was tempted to also bid but ad prefer a cusco or kaaz I like a good clunk my clutch sounds terrific haha Quote
_shaun_ Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Ha I really want a orc clutch but hard toJusifty when my clutch is fine right now I'll need to see if a bargain one pops up! Quote
Gainzy Posted January 28, 2015 Author Posted January 28, 2015 Ha I really want a orc clutch but hard toJusifty when my clutch is fine right now I'll need to see if a bargain one pops up!I love mine it's strange because it's pretty loud at first but then you get used to it, it kinda just blends in.. all it wants you to do is rape them on boost one's of the best purchase's I've done, I had a new clutch in just put in was doing the job as you say was an organic stage one glad I sold that on. I need a clunky diff this year like Quote
_shaun_ Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Aye its same with my side exit and turbo spool it was super loud at the start but now its just normal ha. Am trying not to spent money but clunky diff and rattle clutch are likely gonna cause me to be on the instant noodle diet before payday ha! Quote
Gainzy Posted January 28, 2015 Author Posted January 28, 2015 Pot noodle's are the way to a successful build, always has been HA! Gettem bought lad Quote
