patman
HelloI'm just wondering if anyone has used a multimeter when checking certain things to rule things out, I have a slight misfire on idle at the moment like a little hiccup every maybe 10-20 seconds, so I got myself a multimeter just to check a few thingsHave new plugs going in Saturday aswellI know the injectors need to be 14.9 ohmsNeed to check the ht leads and coil with the multimeter, just wondering what figures I am looking for please. Thanks Pat Edited February 19, 2015 by patman
Gainzy
You could pull the leads out and visual check first when mine ran jerky the spark actually put a hole in the side of the lead yeah always good to replace plugs often anyways.

Stu
If it only occasionally and slightly misses at idle its not really anything to worry about. I'd check the resistance of the leads and make sure there isn't one thats majorly different (they will all vary due to the length). Check the condition of the rotor and dizzy cap. Also check the primary and secondary resistance of the coil. If its not doing it when driving its a fair bit harder to track down. What fuel are you running? Whats the base timing set at?
