5T4R7ET N/A
You have to burn them out, you need to keep the O ring for the new bushing. I'm sure someone made a thread about it. Will try to find it
5T4R7ET N/A
First page on this build will give you an idea of what I mean. Bush is fitted inside the steel ring http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/67180-jords-v-400bhp-build/ Edited March 21, 2015 by 5T4R7ET N/A
mikey4410
the ring that is part of the bush needs to be removed, that isnt meant to stay in there at all.when I did mine nearly three years ago I carefully sawed the rubber part of thebushing with a hacksaw ,this then allows for access to cut the last part of the old bush left in there.cut a slot along it(being carefull not to cut into the axle) then a hammer and chisel to remove the "collar/metal part of old bush" .have burnt them out in past and its a long unnecessary process thats messy aswell as being smelly, definately cut them out.also alot easier.
