starletmadyo
Hey everyone looking for a full lust of what Il need and to do ino yes it probably is cheeper buy the 4efte but this is a project to learn how to and build a 4efe turbo . Thanks in advance for any help givin 😊
funny onion
I'll start the list but i've never done the conversion myself but i think you'll need the following parts from a 4EFTE; - ECU- Oil filter housing- Sump- Exhaust manifold and turbo, decat and exhaust to suit- Injectors and fpr (can't remember if they're the same on the efe to the fte but i assume fte ones are bigger)- Some form of intercooler I'm not sure if the 4efe have a knock sensor but if not they would have the casting for one to be fitted. The fte ecu won't like it if there's no knock sensor signal. Bear in mind that the compression is higher too so don't run silly boost. There's probably loads more but one of the converted lads is better off telling you what else you need.
5e colin
how big is the budget and whats the goal ??? you can turbo a 4efe really cheap keep 4efe eletronics and just fit a emanage blue and get it mapped just bolt on a turbo kit and exhaust to the block and weld a bung to the sump and fit bigger injectors then over time slowly upgrade everything like fly/clutch exh but before you do that ,AT a minimum change conrod bearings because they fail so many times on older engines Edited March 23, 2015 by 5e colin
starletmadyo
Thanks for that ... 5e Colin where would you get conrod bearings to be honest I don't have a big budget but Il stretch as much as I can to have something to last
starletmadyo
Would I be beter of with glanza conrod bearing's
funny onion
Would I be beter of with glanza conrod bearing's Glanza/GT/4efe rod bearings are all the same. The cranks are the same in all variations of the 4e engine.

daniel_g
Theres a couple older threads on this, ive written a list a somewhere. There are a few different ways to do the conversion. Also depends what you are actually doing, so you know what route to take. Ie. are you just putting a FE in your Glanza or turboing a N/a starlet ?
