daveEP
Basicly stuck here. My pal phoned me today to say he had water in his oil after gettin a bit of work done by a garage. Sure enough wen a turned up there was white gunk on the oil cap. I started by checking the water and vac lines wernt mixed up on the throttle body but they were all correct. Next a took the rocker cover off to find this...The guy in the garage said it could be condensation in the engine but at the same time he's done the head gasket. A was thinking he has put an 4efe one on but they look the exact same as the fte ones. Are they different? Any other things a should be checking before I take the head off it??? patman
That must be a head gasket issue surely the non turbos and turbo head gaskets are different, condensation in the engine?? REALLY.....
Gainzy
They are the same, might be a cheapo one, I'd ring the garage and find out how much they got it in for.
akyakapotter
Chuck a genuine toyota gasket on there got one fs cheap if needed. condensation would be a tiny tiny bit in the cap.
