GlanzaJ
Evening guys, need some help Last week replaced head gasket on my glanza, however during the build i made a rookie mistake ! When moving the head the hydraulic tappets/lifters came out of the head, obviously i couldn't remember which lifter went where Previously it ran very quite no tapping at all and all of sudden now its sound literately like a bag of nails in head. Is this to do with valve clearances not being correct ? any help or knowledge would be great as its most frustrating thing ever !
ROTABOOST
Could be tappet clearances but more than likely I'd say you haven't set cam sprocket right. The inlet cam gear is split, the larger side drives the cam, the other side of the split gear has a strong spring in which keeps the cams meshed quietly. Did you install the 10mm bolt in the cam pulley before you removed the cams? They sound horrible when they aren't sent right, will run fine though
