Darzo2010gt Posted April 20, 2015 Share Posted April 20, 2015 Hello I have just fitted a set of speedvision 265 cams to my 4efte but I cant get it to run right It keeps cutting out and revving up and down weird has anybody had this problem I no they run rough on idle but I cant get it to idle at all thanks. Darzo2010gt Posted April 20, 2015 Author Share Posted April 20, 2015 I have lined the gears up by the dots on the cam gears but thats the problem I couldnt get the timing marks dead on when I was timming the timing belt phil also i have set the tps and put the timming light on it and it was way off have you any pictures are anything mate. 5e colin Posted April 22, 2015 Share Posted April 22, 2015 you have to dial them in with a tru dial gauge to see your tru settings as your saying that its 1 tooth out thats a lot !!! might be wort using adjustable cam gear and a dial gauge to get close Quote Link to post Share on other sites

AdamB Posted April 22, 2015 Share Posted April 22, 2015 Forget the stock timing marks, as said above use a DTI gauge. Plus the cams should have come with a spec sheet so they can be dialed in, ie intake valve opens @ x degrees etc. If a set of cams don't come with this then they are shite and good for the bin Quote Link to post Share on other sites
