haggis
Why does everyone have aftermarket air filters sideways ? The original air intake on glanza is almost like a ram air intake ( a good thing )I think a slight modified version of the stock intake would he better than aftermarket examples.Short ram style buy with filter material somewhere and get rid of box. Move everything over to left hand side ?
morgey
Youre talking about an n/a i assume? Basically no1 does anything for them so rather than making something that drops into the wing or is sheltered from the heat they just do the easiest thing they can
haggis
Nah turbo. Always see them sitting in hot engine bays or relocation at front bumper but side on.
haggis
Which I guess is fine but for performance you would think straight on forcing the air in.... rather then sitting there
Rob H@RCH Engineering
How many filters take the air in from the end? And ud have to be going bloody fast to force the air in faster than the turbo sucks it in!
haggis
Stock does... It's not so much forced induction it's more having perfect cold air supply all the time . I'll model it up and post pic.
daniel_g
This isnt mine, was the bay in Shortys 85, but i take it that its something like this you mean? That would be more beneficial over the kinda sideways setups.
haggis
Yes Something very similar to that
daniel_g
Depending on what turbo, manifold design and air filter size. Severe lack of room in starlet bays.
