K2NXY
Right i have got lots of catching up on this blog to get to were i am at the moment with the car.. I will be gradually adding bits to this thread when i can as there is lots to get through! Well enough of the shite i may aswell start....P248 FTATOYOTA STARLET GLANZA V"Snow Edition" (pov spec) lolPurchesed from jeremy (JD Tuning) on 13th april 2014Car already had some mods to get me going but needed a little TLC towards the sills and A pillars but a strong little motor and a good base to start from..Here she is Edited July 12, 2015 by K2NXY
K2NXY
Back in my unit, i couldnt help but tinker about with it while it was off the road for a bit as i was waiting for my no claims before a multicar policy was taken out! First job change the intercooler as it had seen better daysNew intercooler and i know it isnt greddy but couldnt resist a stencel and a bit of paintAlso purchesed a set of rota grids of my good friend jordan, that has helped me all the way through this build 👍Such a good friend i lent him the car for a few month while his glanza was a working progress and his daily (evo) decieded to knock its tits off I also grabbed a bargain set of bc coilovers from (toff) who was breaking his immaculate glanza :/! Still have these to this day
K2NXY
when i got the car back i decieded to give the wheels a little colour and sprayed them purpleWhile i was let loose with the paint i decided to give a few other bits a lick overWith the car having all the correct supporting mods for a good ct9 setup it was time to get a ecu... There was only one in my eyes having witnessed how good they are, but this is my opinion and plenty of people will have different views...Here she is, a JAM Racing ECU 👍😍After fitting the ecu the car transformed itself and made a healthy 196bhp at 1 bar 😃 Edited July 3, 2015 by K2NXY

K2NXY
Whislt i was waiting for my turbo kit i had plenty to crack on with..First of all my disks came woop 👍I took these to get machined, from 280mm to 277mm as they were a snug fit! Then couldnt help but get trigger happy with the purchace button and grab some bargainsTakata harnessesToms rep front bumperBride low max buckets 😍And a cusco 7 point cage blasted then freshly sprayed in honda's midnight purpleSorry for some of the photos i should have taken more at the time I also purchased so rota slipstreams for a good price, but mainly because they are 15" which for the setup i want are much better than the 16" grids that were on it... So up for sale the grids went!I had the slipstreams freshly powdercoated in gloss black for the steath look (some might say boring cunt). Anyways tyre wise there was loads of disputes what to go for, yokies, nangkang, federal, toyo...I ended up listening to the old man, and went with the federals as he said its the closest tyre he has had to the r888s and rated them better than the ns2r's for grip! Each to there own a suppose, but i can still do this day vouch for these tyres the grip the give is immense, just dont last very long but you are going to get that with the majority of soft track tyres!!Gave the calipers a lick of paint and tyres put on the wheels, although i preffer the grid's these will do for now Edited July 3, 2015 by K2NXY

TD04 kit all fitted and afr checked at 1bar on the jam racing ecu with a healthy 233 bhp!!!Loving the car to bits making use of the nice weather amd actually driving it again! This is jordan walkers car next to mine when he was in the process of running it in!Cheeky trackdayWas over the moon with the way the car handled, i was not expecting it at all! The combination of tyres coilovers, polybushes and cage makes it handle a dream, leaving the setup how it is now woop! But there was one little problem i noticed!!Valve stem seals are worse than what i thought they were Goes well though lol 👍
K2NXY
Welll.... Me being me.. And love getting my hands dirty, back in my unit she went and it was time to do the stem seals.. Head offChecked for bore damage and they seemed pretty good 👍 and before i took the head off i done a compression test and came backCyl1 157Cyl2 152Cyl3 157Cyl4 151So there was little jumps but nothing major Head stripped down ready to go and get skimmed

K2NXY
I was doing a little searching and found the ad from when it was imported and for sale in the uk How times change And found a video of one of her runs on the rollers making a touch less but still happy 😃http://youtu.be/yRpXSzsWIoo Edited July 13, 2015 by K2NXY
K2NXY
Well after the head rebuild, it started perfectly then after 2 minutes of running it started blowing belows of smoke from the exhaust So i turned it off took the plugs out and there was cooland on them aswell as the oil being like fresh mayo! I then realised i made a rookie mistake and still kicking myself for it now and realised i plumbed the vacuum lines the wong way round on yhe inlet :/ anyways switched them round, serviced it and took it for a run, shes back! Well thats what i thought after a few days off running her ahe started to misfire so i changed the plugs and let her cool down... Started fine.. Problem solved not quite after 5 minutes running on tick over it started misfiring again.. So i thought it might have been a little bit of shit still in the cylinders that needed burning of so i moved her outside and booom spluttered and cut out completly then would not fire give every thing the once over and a new set of plugs still no luck and could see un burned oil in the cylinders :/ so i knew it was bad from then, my instincts thought ringland failure.. I was gutted Thought fuck it wngine is coming out and i will go from there!Gearbox and ancilleries off to check my clutch ( as i ddint know what was in it) at least i can look at putting my new box on anyways Turns out i had a TRD clutch in it with loads off life left on her ideal, wondered what was in it as it felt strong and wasnt to heavy Edited July 13, 2015 by K2NXY
K2NXY
So now unsure of what has went wrong with my engine i spoke to mike from tuning developments, could be numerous things until split, so i come to the decision to go for mikes stage 2 forge rebuild but using my own scat conrods which i purchased of toffa!Engine straight in the back of the teg and 2 and a half hours later my engine had now been delivered to mike!Few days past and after being split the cause was not one but two cracked pistons grr So now whilst my engine is there i can crack on sorting the rest of the car out to the spec i want it
K2NXY
So i got some new seat rails of connor as my old ones are sh#t!Thats better!
