Hi guys, my GT fried the 80am main fuse a few days ago :(....was driving along the motorway and suddenly lost all electrical power.

Anyway, I ordered a couple more fuses, fitted one earlier...all was going well until I turned the lights on and the new fuse began to fry.

I checked the volts across the battery and all was fine.

My Auto electrician mate came around to have a look and started testing the wires.

He said that the white wire on the left marked with the black marker is a live wire, and it is earthing somewhere....hence the reason its frying the fuses. So I need to follow the wire back and see where it goes to check to see where its actually earthing.

Can anyone tell me where that wire leads to from the fuse box?

Thanks

Thanks mate... I ll check it out... Its branches off into 2 wires...one that goes into the main loom and one that goes into the fuse box in the bay.

Just been googling about to see whatcould be causing it to blow...dodgy turbo timer and break in o2 sensors keep cropping up. I m no electrician though, so i m inclined to believe that what my mate said is true.

guys.....can anyone help me with this. Basically one of the main wires coming from the fuse box is the bay is earthing out. I've traced the wire back and I can't seem to find any rips etc in the wire :s

If it only was that easy mate lol!

it goes from the main fusebox...straight into the main loom in the bay...then into the car.
