tommyn1991 Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 theres probably a million threads on this but couldnt find anything! can i adjust the actuator on my glanza while still on the car? it looks fairly accessible, and does anybody have a rough idea of what to set it to for about 1 bar? currently only running 6psi according to my boost guage Quote
H_D Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 14.5psi is 1 bar - you need to tighten the arm (make it shorter to increase boost) iirc 1 full turn should give 2psi more boost - just tighten it 1 turn at a time and test it until you reach your desired boost level. be carful when adjusting as it will be very hot around the actuator area. tommyn1991 Posted July 15, 2015 Author Posted July 15, 2015 Is this even a HKS one? I was told it was but its not the clip type, anybody know? Quote
Cattanach Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Not sure if it's Hks but it's definitely an adjustable actuator, someone's used a nut and bolt instead of the little pin and C Clip Quote
JDMfreak Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 its a hks actuator alright some have an open end and some have the pin end seen them both Quote
tommyn1991 Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 So I gave it one full turn and took it out and it is hitting about 12psi but in 3rd at about 5k revs it drops to about 9psi briefly then back up to 12, any idea why that might be?Otherwise very pleased with how it goes now Quote
JDMfreak Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Get yourself a boost gauge that reads in bar not psi as for the sudden drop then spike I'd say its a weak actuator and can't pull full boost under pressure Quote
