Gainzy Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Scroll half way down that's the set your looking for.http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/71520-gainzys-jam-glanza/page-9 Quote
StuDoc 72 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 My HID's were a massive improvement aswell. www.hids4u.co.uk is where I got mine and you get a warranty incase anything goes wrong you need the ones for H4 bulbs. Quote
Arnold Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Any issues with MOT's or being pulled with HID's fitted? I've just put a set on mine. Now reading up about the lights possibly dazzling others as they're not projector type. Definitely noticed a huge difference over standard ones though Quote
StuDoc 72 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I know folk can get issues with them and i have had folk flash me but only on the motorway at night time. Apart from that ive not had any actual issues. Quote
akyakapotter Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 They will fail an mot I usually change them out for stock H4 bulbs. Quote
leemillin Posted August 3, 2015 Author Posted August 3, 2015 these any good guys? http://www.amazon.co.uk/THG-8000K-Xenon-Conversion-Headlight/dp/B00XOCVWCG/ref=sr_1_29?ie=UTF8&qid=1438639382&sr=8-29&keywords=hid+kit+h4 Quote
StuDoc 72 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) No there farrrrrr too blue you'll get pulled every 5 mins. Edited August 4, 2015 by StuDoc 72 Quote
Arnold Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I bought these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371039849629?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Difference is they have metal shielded bits around them compared to most which don't (From what I've seen anyway). I imagine this is put in to reduce glare but not 100% certain on that Quote
StuDoc 72 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I bought this kit although when I bought it I think it was cheaper http://www.hids4u.co.uk/h4-35w-slim-proplus-bi-xenon-hid-conversion-kit.html The only thing I can say is you pay for a service with this kit. I was given a year or so's guarantee and it was great. The ballast ( which is the bit that looks like an ECU. Needs to be screwed or stuck in place. If its loose then it will fail and need to be replaced. This company had replacements on my doorstep in days. Also when my main beam didnt work correctly they were very helpful in sending out the manual switches for the ballasts. Arnold the bulbs that came with my kit are the same as the ones you have just shown. Only thing I can see is that one is 35W and one is 55W which leads me to pointing back to what was said earlier in the thread about the light going stray. You might just be more likely to get unwanted attention with the stronger bulbs. Quote
leemillin Posted August 5, 2015 Author Posted August 5, 2015 i have just paid for these http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002RLGY7S?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 Quote

Arnold Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Anyone else notice next to no difference having full beam on after fitting HID's? Not only that, but my full beam light on my dash board no longer comes on Quote
StuDoc 72 Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Sounds like you need the manual switching mechanism instead of an auto one. Quote
