Hello,

Im breaking a starlet gi ep82 and ive taken the camshafts and the buckets with the shims, are the camshafts off a starlet gi same as turbo or its different?

And if fitted on what will be the disadvantages?

Thanks

Cheers.

Will my valves (top of valve stem) cause any clearance issues if i swap the buckets straight?

My forged 4efte is tapping and im going ahead and trying to swap the 4efe buckets and cams into.it to stop the tapping, as the 4efe had no tapping problem i think it should work.

Thanks

if you plant over the cams and matching shims it will still need rechiming   mate best to rechim current head because sizes will be diferent

Colin's bang on as always. :)

Post it up buddy :)

I swapped them straight over the other day and it didn't.go.too well,

I had to refit my old ones back on amd now when the engine is cold is has a slight misfire until its.warmed up. Timing is correct i double checked.

Are these clearances correct for a 4efte?

Intake: 0.006-0.010

Exhaust: 0.012-0.016

Also what shall i set them to? To the tightest spec? Or inbetween the two?

Thanks
