HKS Induction filter.

Recommended Posts

I recently bought a Hks mushroom filter off ebay for a couple of quid the other day and i recieved it yesterday in the post, the seller stated it was used but has had a new foam filter fitted. when i got it it seemed pretty good condition and the foam was obviously new as it was a nice clean bright yellow. but i have noticed the foam doesnt quite fit, because theres a small gap under the foam and non filtered air could get in through this gap, i was wondering if theres any lip or something missing from the kit?? or is the foam the wrong one? any surgestions? also is the filter surposed to be oiled? cheers guys, starlybruiser

dont think they are that expensive....

try one of the main HKS dealers or burwash or toby may be able to get them...

HKS filters arent very good in the first place, so you would be better getting a Power enterprise or Apexi one..sorry

yep, dont use the HKS filters, cheap copies like the shit in there is probably worse!

you can get an apexi cone filter for £25 max, and they're the best you can buy for the money to be honest. dont fuck about with the HKS ones, they're shite.

it could be a proper hks filter replacement as they do come in two different sizes 150mm and 200mm so it may just have had the wrong one put in!! im not sure of the cheapest place to buy them from but they are available form envyperformance for about £20 as for colours they come in grey green red and yellow!! I hope that helps!!
