Madge1980
Wondering how much a fair price would be for parts only to convert auto to manual. Had a quote of £600 for all parts required. Don't know if this is a bit steep as I've seen boxes only for £150. Thanks for any help/advice.

Ive got a fairly good idea now what parts I need and im pretty confident in doing the job myself just wondering what is the best route to go down for parts. Would it work out cheaper to buy a n/a starlet thats going cheap or buy all the parts separate.
lukEp
NA gearbox are weaker and have a smaller clutch, depends what power you want. If your thinking about just using a donor NA because of your budget a corolla 1.3 will do as well, you might be better finding a 6speed Corolla G6 just for the wow factor. Or find a yaris tsport gearbox as they have 4.312 final drive you'll still need a Starlet bellhousing but you could always be the first person to do it. I've actually got all the parts but can't be arsed being unique. Tops out @ about 140 mph with the Glanza rev limit coupled with an LSD (also got) would be a quick quarter mile. Madge1980
Haha love the fact that you can't be arsed to be unique Thanks again for the info I wasn't aware the n/a parts were smaller and weaker. Think I shall just purchase a standard glanza manual box and clutch as I am not planning on running massive power, just hoping around the 200bhp mark.
5e colin
na box will hold 200 bhp more and its a tikking timebom if i where you id look for a cheap as NA p9 starlet for 200/300£ but invest in a 4efte fly and clutch the rest can be na no bother
