GLANZA-MAN
Okay, well most of you may know already know me on here from my previous glanza I built to a pretty high spec. I did buy this glanza as it was meant to be a jump in and drive car for me, but that didn't plan out, I was totally ripped off by a lad from Facebook, after buying it at night (big mistake but thought I could trust him) I got home and the next morning started checking it out, there seemed to be a bolt in the throttle pulley holding the revs up to 2000rpm, as I loosened it off there was a tapping noise and it was getting louder, so I got it checked out and seems it's a head issue, to then discover I also had a gearbox leak from the shaft seal (oem lsd) again was very annoyed. I tried getting a part refund but he was having non of it!So basically I now have to get the head off and get that all fixed up, have now got a new gearbox and have just bought a cusco lsd to fit in to itEverything in the spec below weren't all on the car when I got it, I've had it around 2 months and spent a small fortune on it.FULL SPEC!This is my Toyota glanza 1996.It has a lot of history and receipts and stuff which you don't usually get with most imports, it has nearly a folder full of paperwork with thousands spent. Also has a lot of jap history and jap books etc, also has the import papers from when it was imported in the UK back in 2007.Now the specs of the car are below, I've tried to list as much as I can from the top of my head.ENGINE, PERFORMANCE AND COOLING:Block was bored and honed to fit the following.Wiesco 74.5mm PistonsPauter rods balancedACL bearing kitAthena metal head gasketARP head boltsARP bolts through out the blockNew crank re ground to fit .25 with ACL bearings and thrust washers to suitStage 2 ported and polish head Zisco valve stem sealsZisco springsPorted and flowedBaffled sumpBlue anodised lightweight pulleysTD04 turbo kitActuatorAir filter from turbo relocated to front bumperBraided water and oil linesRW DEVELOPMENTS Race spec rocker cover and oil catch canBraided lines from rocker to catch canFuel pressure regulator with rail adaptorBlue magnecore compition leadsJD performance Engine torque damperToyosports intercoolerOil cooler and relocation kitBlitz racing oil filterToyosports half rad Blue rad hosesBlue Battery voltage meter J-performance exhaust system (like new)MANAGEMENT:Greddy emanage ultimate with 3 bar map sensor. This is the latest version (E) which includes launch control, it also has a plug and play harness which cost around £200 alone! DRIVETRAIN:Cusco lsd rebuilt with New plates and diff bearingsYou can only get these new from RHD Japan and these are £531.56 posted to the UK plus import tax. Works out at a total of roughly £660 to your door then you'll need diff bearings IIRC £125 from Toyota So close to to £800 of my hard earned money in one gearbox! GLANZA-MAN
Today I started the diff transfer, due to family comitments I ran out of time but.... I got the old diff out with the help from the guide on here to follow!!!Here's a picture of the old diff out.
GLANZA-MAN
As you can see I've been attempting to change the old, standard diff and swap it out for the cusco lsd which I have recently bought.I did challenged myself as it's not something if usually attempt to do, but i pulled it off, it did test my patience a couple of times but I managed to keep my cool and crack on. Here's a few pictures of the change over!
