Flynn Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Struggling to find where I need to connect the grey plug on the O2 sensor-car? Quote
Ep82gi Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Should be a spare wire off the same part of the loom that's plugs into the thermostat housing should be marginally longer Quote
Flynn Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 This grey one? Sorry not the best picture Quote
5e colin Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 nope thats a 2 pin so lambda2 ( cat temperature sensor ) the 1 you need is 1 pin wire plug Quote
Flynn Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 Balls......this is the only plug anywhere near reaching, hmmmmmmmmmm Quote
Flynn Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 Anyone a clue of the colour wire that should be on the plug (car side)? Quote
akyakapotter Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 The yellow wire i can see goes to the oil pressure switch attached to that loom will be the lambda one white wire grey plug Quote
Flynn Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 Any chance one of you boys could get a photo of it and where roughly in the bay it should be lol? Quote
Ryan_EP82 GT Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 The yellow wire i can see goes to the oil pressure switch attached to that loom will be the lambda one white wire grey plug Bang on. Comes from the loom at the top of gearbox that has oil pressure sensor plug. It might just be a spade now if the plug has broke. Quote
Flynn Posted December 28, 2015 Author Posted December 28, 2015 Ok so turns out the plugs not there lol a previous bodge job has left that weird connector on the red wire. Assuming the yellow wire is for oil pressure and the 2 pin (brown/cream wire) plug is for the cat temp........that red one should be for the lambda? Quote
jamesglanza Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Trace the wire back it should be a single white wire connected to that red one. Is so and there's nothing else then that's it, don't worry about the brown and cream 2 pin that's the cat temp sensor don't need it. Quote
fiddlersport Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 should be white wire for 02 sensor..... have seen a few tuners delete the o2 sensor but dont know why they do this ??? Quote
Ep82gi Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Could be two pin on the lambda sensor also. Hmmmm Quote
Flynn Posted December 28, 2015 Author Posted December 28, 2015 If anything I'd say that the red one joins to a chunkier red one but I'll have a go at tracing it back in the morning. Quote
Ep82gi Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Is it Glanza or gt as I'm sure the gt lambda had a single wire where as the glanza had two Quote
Bug679 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Looking where it is the only other thing using a spade there is your temperature gauge check the spade end hasn't broken off the sensor Quote
Bug679 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Should look like this ( only grabbed photo off gtt) Quote
Flynn Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 Traced the red wire back to find another connector. And behind that.........maybe this was once white?A mate who's on the tools at Toyota is gonna have a look tomorrow so hopefully we can just hard wire into here. Quote

Ryan_EP82 GT Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Traced the red wire back to find another connector. And behind that.........maybe this was once white?A mate who's on the tools at Toyota is gonna have a look tomorrow so hopefully we can just hard wire into here. That's what my o2 sensor wire is like mate real skinny dirty white colour Quote

Flynn Posted December 30, 2015 Author Posted December 30, 2015 So just to wrap this up. The single manky white wire was indeed the O2 sensor wire, hard wired into it and I now have a functioning lambda sensor! Quote
Whitenoize Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Nice one mate got there in the end Quote
