Morten Emil Ruud
Is there any way of fooling the MAP sensor? because as some of you know it cuts the ignition when it feels boost
5e colin
cant you just fit a 4efte 1 instead ??
Morten Emil Ruud
I think its the ecu that does the fuelcutting, it reads the signal and cuts. So really i have to fool the ecu. Do anyone how to fool a 4efe ECU?
morgey
A guy called mr-quimby or similar on here knows someone that sells a map convertor or something for boosting 4efes to get around that issue. Not something thats used in the uk very often though#vaguestpostever lol
richardc9052
Just use a 4efte map sensor. Both work in the 0-5v range. The problem with the 4efe sensor is that your hitting boost which is maxing out the voltage range and the ecu can see something is wrong.. The only way it will do the same when using a turbo map sensor is if you hit 1 bar boost... Which won't be happening. So turbo map sensor and it's fixed. But your then halfing the fuel off boost. Ideally you will need turbo injectors and some way to control fuelling... Realistically it would be better all round just to buy a piggyback ecu and get it mapped.
