oil pressure figure

Hi want want to do a oil pressure test on my 4efte engine what numbers should i be looking for thanks.

No an actual oil pressure test i plan to do one and i need the normal pressure figures

What sort of reading do you get when yours is warmed up patman

Ok when the car is first started up from cold I get

65-70 psi which is around 4 and a half bar/5bar.

When the car is all warmed up and on idle I get about 20psi which is about 1.4 bar that's with the Rev needle on 1k revs,

Of course using the revs the oil pressure will go up and taking foot of throttle pedal it will go back down again, obviously if I used the screw on the throttle body and now idled at 1200 revs the oil pressure will go up slightly, hope this makes sense decdd :-)

Yeah that's absolutely spot on was just wondering what other people were reading off there's mine is very similar to yours maybe a bit stronger on idle even

Have done searches before on this and mine seems the same as a lot of others, did see something on here few weeks ago with one of them small hks oil filters suppose to raise the oil pressure abit aswell.

6 bar or there abouts when cold.

At least 1 bar at idle when hot.

Thanks lads because I'll be testing it soon hoping its a electric issues and not the fucking pump or bearings because I've enough issues already atm hahahah

Oil light and abs light on

70 psi on startup and arounf 20 warm on idle. 10 50 oil

Hi i got just over 4 bar on cold and about 2 bar warm so it my engine ok
