Martingdavies1985 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 So I've started my car & it's cold driving normally & temp gauge is going up as car is heating up but when boost is starting to come in gauge is fluctuating, dropping slightly to cold then back to normal. Anybody experienced this before? Could it be the time of year or something else? Quote
Ryan5793 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I had this on mine, the 1 wire to the thermostat sensor had a slight split in it so soldered it back up and its been fine ever since, hopefully just the same thing Quote
Martingdavies1985 Posted March 6, 2016 Author Posted March 6, 2016 I've just checked the spade connector now & it isn't the best connection tbh it's only hanging on by a few wires I'll strip & pop a new spade on hopefully that sorts the problem thanks mate Quote
fiddlersport Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 sensor could be at fault too, not too expensive to replace if you fixing it Quote
patman Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 (edited) Once you solved this problem I would personally invest in a water temp gauge well that's if you got an ep82 anyway Edited March 7, 2016 by patman Quote
Martingdavies1985 Posted March 7, 2016 Author Posted March 7, 2016 Yes I've been looking at getting gauges, water/oil temp, oil pressure & boost there's a 3gauge offer on eBay for stepper gauges looks like a good deal tbh, currently got a brand new oil cooler sat in my garage just waiting for time to fit it & ive heard fitting the sandwich plate can be a pain? Something about having to grind part of the sandwich plate away? Anybody heard this before? Quote
patman Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Hmmm I haven't mate but I didn't have to on mine bit then I am only running a ct9 and front location air filter and it fits fine reason I said about the water temp on an ep82 as others will say they just go to half way and that's it Quote
