  1. Never realised I hadnt finished off this thread, I sold the car last year to a close friend who had promised to look after it as much as I had, my itch for an MX5 was too strong and as much as I loved the Starlet (both me and my partner started to miss it and I almost bought it back a handful of times) it had to go. Mate sold it not long ago to a trader for £500 I was only half an hour away from buying it but his mum got impatient and sold it off and he flipped it for a profit... But now someone else has it and they have started a Build thread so thankfully it should be in good hands
  2. That would be me Nangle! Still has your Tom's Rad cap on it too! Well last I knew it did. Glad its gone to someone who has finally brought it back to the forum! Enjoy mate
  3. Looking forward to the progress of this one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Does anyone have one for sale? Not particularly fussed about condition as it will more than likely be the wrong colour! I'd prefer one not attached to a boot so let me know people Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Nice update today! Got the car cleaned using some new auto finesse products, great products from them! Before the new change! And then the car was left like this overnight, had to get creative with a few old wrenches etc. To keep the splitter clamped in place Annnnnnnd after! The best part about this is it is a unique change! Someone on the forum had this years ago but his thread kind of stopped about 3 years ago, and I always like the look of this now I have it! And so far finding another one of these splitters is proving difficult! But I love it! Not a perfect fit but not too notice
  6. No giving the secret away brooooo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. All with the assistance of you, so thanks! I will have an interesting update next week, as a certain something will be going to get painted it will be awesome! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. This glanza is insane that is all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. It does at the moment, as I set it to the same length as the standard panhard rod, I've not had chance to get it aligned correctly yet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Well I fitted it and I jacked the axle up so it was acting as if the wheels were on the weight of the car, but there was still a lot of arch gap, so I just had to loosen the drop link bar things off while the car was on its wheels and adjust them a bit so they were suited to how the car sits when on it's own weight rather than it being jacked up and it's all good now! ☺️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I can't imagine how excited you are to get the fully painted car back xD Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I bought a whiteline, and it's actually rather simple to install, the hardest part I found was removing the bolt at the drivers side of the rod, which is understandable as it has spent 17 years not moving! But it's 2 bolts, take the old rod off, set the adjustable rod to the same length as the standard one, and fit it straight back in! Then you just need to find a garage that will do a 4 wheel alignment and will also adjust the rod and your good to go Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. All sorted now xD Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. No it's usually the drivers side that rubs, adjustable panhard rod will fix it mate! It's used to centre the axle back up with the car to combat it rubbing ☺️ I've still got to get mine aligned yet, so I can't report on the panhard rod 100% just yet but I'm sure it'll fix the issue Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Can't wait to see it with the front bumper and alloys on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Well CD clocks are a straight swap into a solida, so I'd imagine SR clocks will be the same situation as the sportif Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. So yesterday I got around to fitting both my Adjustable Panhard rod and Rear anti roll bar, on the test drive I had frequent clunking noises, i checked it over when I got home noticed two bolts on the bottom of the Let's say droplinks weren't fully tight, nipped them up, went out again and only heard the noise once. And on the 15 mile drive to work today it only did it at 2 extreme points in road where one side was hitting a higher point than the other side, e.g. Coming out of my car park which is a slight downhill moment so one side will be higher than the other when leaving at a turn it m
  18. Finally a worth while update! Got around to giving the car a good service, new oil, filter, spark plugs, and HT leads courtesy of Mr. Bower. I also finally got my adjustable panhard rod and rear anti roll bar fitted which have both been sat a while doing nothing! So far from what I can feel the arb has made a very nice improvement! 19. Well I have CD clocks in mine and they were a straight plug and play (I have a solida) and then mileage part is pretty easy, you just need to unscrew the face with the mileage, and I think it has two screws holding the little box on, just swap them over Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. PM sent socks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Haha I was originally going to buy this and do the same as you mate I had a few issues at the time that prevented me though but glad it's gone to someone who's going to put it all to good use Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Wow I have really neglected my car since the end of August! I've done literally nothing! But now I am feeling as motivated as when I first got the car! Have a few plans lined up for 2017 and to start with I have the car a damn good clean I have an adjustable panhard rod on the way finally! And a rarb thanks to walker! So I'll finally get rid of the one tyre scrub issue Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I'm not sure which exactly I know the solida model has issues. Don't worry I'm not trying to be negative with your product I'm sure it works fine I know there's just a few models that have issues! And nooo I got mine from RHD Japan a while back haha! Sorry for hijacking the thread I was just curious if this would solve my problem xD feel free to remove the comments to clean it up again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. The original steering wheel on mine has the horn wire in a coil typed of thing, my boss has a copper ring in the back of it but nothing to contact it, if that make sense, a few people have had the same issue haha, I think it's only an issue with certain models etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Will these help with the notorious horn issue? I still haven't got around to fixing the horn to work with my steering wheel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
