love this mate took some time but you got there come a long way from the smooth booted bargain you got
Thanks mate it’s a project I never intended taking on but glad I have, it’s not the glanza by any means but it does put a smile on your face

Cars all done and I’m really happy with how it drives, it picks up boost quite quickly and is funny to drive. Boost was wound back from 10 psi to 7 as it was having some valve float at high rpm due to na valve springs. A high flow fuel pump was needed as it began to lean off too much. I want the car usable and reliable so I’m happy with the boost levels and power it made I’m not chasing figures and I feel it’s on the money for what I intend to use it for. I can’t recommend tuning developments enough, they’ve mapped both my sr and glanza v and im more the happy with both results they know what they’re doing and are just genuine people 😀

Picking the car up from tuning developments in the morning so update to follow 😀

I might have a spare map sensor mate, will look tomorrow.
How did you set your actuator up?
Also, can you post a pic of the header tank bracket?- need to make one and it might save me a little time seeing another.
Can you post a full size pic of your avatar? As it looks like a nice one. Really neat and tidy install with the fmic.
It’s cool I’ve got a map sensor on the way 😀, I’ll get u a pic of the bracket tomorrow mate but it’s just literally a 90 degree piece of steel I bolted to the brake line bracket. I haven’t set the actuator yet Mike at td will do it when it’s mapped

Looking great 👍

yeh this is what ive been reading recently. the aem piggy back is wired inline with the ignition pulse and map sensor signal wire (braking the wire to go threw the aem controller before it arrives at the 4efe ems unit). it does have its own map sensor also.
on the d16 build im not sure what the lad used it took alittle modding to get the crank trigger working properly but as for the install my work college did the rest. i will message him now and ask. i simply fitted the det3 with built in map sensor and set up the reference tables.
ill have to double check the part number on my map sensor, im just going of the fact that its blue in colour, if someone could be so kind as to put me a part number up to reference.
this is a very interesting topic
@stevie82 are you using the additional e manage 3bar map sensor
i know of afew more starlets that have aem units ill check them out now.
thankyou for the reply and any information you find claymore I know your research will be accurate on the det3+ we can advise the lad doing the E11 build accordingly.
Yes u still need to use the additional 3 bar map sensor with emanage as well as a stock 4efte map sensor for it to work
-
I know If using emanage u need a 4efte map sensor as the software can’t recognise a 4efe map sensor
-
-
Don’t suppose u have a stock map sensor?

have you thorough about acl bigend bearings.
there are alot of bigend failures after mapping. literally with in months.
fantastic work by the way. this setup should be so quick.
I don’t plan on touching the internals at all, mike has a customer they mapped a na for with the same set up as me three years ago he uses as a daily and had no issues so far so fingers crossed all will be ok 👌🏻

Looks great this, nice work . Has the wastegate been ported at all or is it standard size? Be interested to see how it does on the dyno at td.
Its been ported to help prevent boost creep

Managed to get a couple of hours in on the sr today, trimmed the front under trays and front dirt guards to fit around the intercooler pipework. Fitted a catch can, made a bracket to fix the relocated header tank. Also managed to nip over and see mike at td and came away with an adjustable actuator and new seals for the glanza injectors. Last piece of the puzzle now is a standard glanza map sensor then it’s going to td for emanage to be fitted and mapped!

Quick update, decided to redo the intercooler pipework as I wasn’t happy with how it looked so waiting for pipes from auto silicone hoses. Also gone for a dual core alloy radiator so waiting for brackets to arrive from jd tuning. I had some timing belt cover “4efe” replica stickers made up and have one spare if anyone wants it fire me a pm and I’ll post it out foc of course.

fantastic work.
really is looking very nice.
is the ct9 a ct9a or ct9b?.
this is going to spool up so fast.
It’s just the old ct9 from my glanza and yeah I’m hoping for a decent spool time as it’s going to be used for time attack 😀

Not updated for a while unfortunately as I’ve been busy with the boxster, but dug it out of the unit today and finished the intercooler pipe work which I’m not chuffed with so I’ve ordered some more 🤦♂️. Gave it a bath too, still some more engine bay work to do and still on the look out for an emb if anyone’s got one ? Here’s how she stands atm

Hi thanks for the comments, firstly the air intake temp sensor is just tied up in the engine bay as it’s not an issue, I’m using the stock 4efe fuel pressure regulator but did have to change the fuel pump as it ran lean top end and I first ran the intercooler pipework under the front crossmember but it looked shit with the na bumper as the bumper fouls the pipes massively so I went for 51mm pipes round the sides and it’s much better I’ll try find a pic
