Yes belt is tight and will check the vsv thanks MR-2

Right replaced the alternator on the starlet as thought that maybe the problem but still when I'm coming to a stop and press the brake the Revs drop to like 400 -500 it's even worse when the lights and wipers are on ? Has new decent battery as well any other ideas ?
-
Had the same problem tried everything (diesel, coke, pentrating liquids, heat )having to buy a new shock and swap spring and topmount over, right pain in the ass

Where are you based ? -
Which is why I asked about anti lag wondered if anyone has tried running td05 with anti lag on track
-
Also the right kit ? Plenty of people using td05 even td06s on track also down to preference
-
I'm not spending serious money the price of a gt series I can rebuild my 05 and spend the rest on decent handling upgrades
-
There aren't many at 320 which means it isn't a general rule that every billet td04 will get 320. Well was hoping to get close to 340 but will depend on the boost, rebuilt td05 16g billet wheel and updated journal bearing. Don't get me wrong I like the td04 my old starlet ran one but the punch you get from an 05 lol
-
Seen a few td04 billets at 300 and the odd ones at 310 but that's it and I have a 5e to help with some of the lag
-
I know this is true it's just what I want, I havnt seen many td04s crack the 300 mark and there's probably only 500 rpm difference in turbos spool wise. I might get bored of the 05 one day and decide I want a better response turbo until then POWER ! Lol
-
This is true, might sound strange but the car isn't purely track I want to track it but I also want a large amount of power otherwise I would go td04
-
Not particularly was thinking more for track being a td05 it is quite laggy
-
So anti lag can be run on any turbo just shortens the lifespan lol
-
Does anything need to be done to a turbo to run anti lag as strength wise ? Like billet wheel etc ?
-
Well it's happening in 4 weeks time, so glad I found out about it today as seems like such a good option compared to dastek
-
It does so much and can be run off all the standard sensors. They had a few cars there all running it fine gtr, evo 6 another glanza and my pals supra engine in bmw
-
As title says anyone using Ecumaster standalone ? Found a tuner that will put one on the starlet and map for a good price
-
Would really like that chatter on mine not usually fan of silver GTs but very nice mate

Update coming soon : Tdo5 billet and emerald ! Plus a few other little bits -
Thanks everyone wonder if I should buy the rad off of eBay any recommendations ?
-
Luckily redline is only round the corner to me and the fella there seems to know his starlets to so probably the best option
-
My old starlet ran a td04 on a unichip and it worked brilliantly, might sell the emanage and get unichip put on shame as I like the emanage
-
That's what I have been doing, TDI said they can supply fit and map and f con unit and to be honest don't have the funds for standalone. Wondered what and who people were using on here.
