  1. Cool, cheers. Luckily I shall be using a ramp, so I will be able to keep it level at the same time as being able to get under it. I best find a long funnel to reach then!
  2. Hello All, How do you guys replace the box oil? From what I can see there is a drain hole on the bottom corner, a level hole on the side, and a filler hole on the top... Now, do you actually bother with the filler hole? As from what I gather you fill up the box until the oil starts to come out the level hole... That makes me just think to put it straight in the level hole? Then when it starts to pour back out, stop. I assume access will be the problem... (I guess I will find out soon enough). *Insert any useful tips and tools sizes here if you know any* I am goin
  3. Cheers dude, I shall investigate!
  4. So the car has now had a full machine polish, which has transformed the car! The car is still old and worn in places, but most blemishes and swirls have been removed! Very happy! I have an order from Opie oils on its way, engine and gearbox oil... I opted for the Fuchs Titan Supersyn for the engine, and Motul 300 for the box. Should give it a nice feel. So I will get that done in the next week. With the mods I have, I assume there is some sort of aftermarket engine management? How would I find out what it has? I don't even know where the ECU is located! Just interested that's al
  5. All cleaned up properly now!
  6. So here are a couple of snaps... Roof before: Roof after: Bumper before: Bumper after: So it is looking a lot more fresh now! Just need to give the car a good detail! Next - wind deflectors, new intercooler and new indicators (drivers side is missing plastic off the edge that meets the grill) Good Times!
  7. It has been a while since I updated anything.... As I was sitting back, planning to not really do anything with the car apart from run it about. But after thinking long and hard, summer coming up, shows and meets coming up... I couldn't help myself! The car is currently in the body shop, having the roof and pillars re-sprayed (as there was a severe lack of paint!). Also the bumper is being repaired and resprayed (It had a hole from a side exit exhaust). I get the car back on Monday, so I will post some before and after pics... On top of that, I have some genuine wind deflectors to
  8. Cheers dudes, I have managed to get hold of some now. :-)
  9. Hello All, As the title says... does anyone have any? If they even exist still?! Thanks!
  10. Brill, cheers dude! My clocks and cd player still work, so it probably isn't the fuse then!
  11. Hey all, Can someone advise where it is and if it has its own fuse? Looked under the dash, but my Japanese reading is a little rusty :-P EP82 GT Turbo Cheers!
  12. Well the same thing happened again this morning.... There was a lot of moisture/dew around, just like the last time. So I am beginning to think it could be moisture related? But that doesn't explain why it jumps of another car?
  13. Well it's a mystery... Battery was 12.5V with the car not running, and just over 14V with it running, so all is good! Car has started perfectly the last couple of times too. So I haven't a clue why it didn't start the other day, but since it was jumped, it seems fine. Random...
  14. Well it jumped straight away.... So it looks like it is the battery/alternator. I haven't got hold of a multimeter yet, so I can't work out for sure until I get that. Cheers for the help!
  15. Cheers for the assistance! I will report back later
  16. That is exactly what mine would do normally, it just kills the signal and I would have to push the button on the fob again, and as you say, everything else stays on. But in this example, it switches everything off when I turn the key.
  17. When I try again, all the lights come back on as normal... Battery in the alarm fob seems ok as it is also the central locking, which is working fine. Yep. I will try jump it when I get home tonight. That is what I thought, it might not have enough power to start the car, as I realise it takes a lot more. (Although it isn't even trying to turn it over).
  18. I get everything, like lights, stereo etc... So I thought that would mean the battery is ok... Unless it doesn't have enough power to turn the car over. When I try to start the car, the stereo, lights etc go off and the car does nothing. I will try to jump it later, as that will show if its the battery or not.
  19. Hello All, Does anyone have experience with Cobra alarm/immobilisers? My Starlet has one fitted... For some reason, this morning the car wouldn't start. When I turn the key to ACC, I get all my accessories no problem, so I assume the battery is ok. When I turn the key to Ignition, the car just goes dead, all the lights go off etc... As if it's being cut off completely. If it was the starter motor, then I would still have power to everything else whilst the key was in the start position. Do you think it sounds like an immobiliser issue which is stopping ignition? Luckily I coul
  20. Any takers on knowing what the differences are?
  21. Hi All, I need to get some new rear shocks... Having a look online it appears that there are 2 options for the EP82, they seem to change at May 1994. I have a Quadlight EP82, which I believe was introduced in May 1994. So my question is, did the rear shocks change when the Quadlight was introduced? Thanks!
  22. Whilst spraying the wheels I decided to do the wiper arms, as they were a mess! http://s144.photobucket.com/user/danshieber/media/20130707_115433_zpsdebc4ef8.jpg.html'> Now: http://s144.photobucket.com/user/danshieber/media/20130709_201526_zpsd3696490.jpg.html'> The little touches make the difference! 23. So I decided on going for black, as it was easy and didn't want to run the risk of not liking the colour... So here is Saturdays work: From this: http://s144.photobucket.com/user/danshieber/media/20130706_132659_zps41092b4c.jpg.html'> http://s144.photobucket.com/user/danshieber/media/20130706_133020_zpsb76e2456.jpg.html'> To this: http://s144.photobucket.com/user/danshieber/media/20130706_134018_zps0992b4a4.jpg.html'> http://s144.photobucket.com/user/danshieber/media/20130706_143152_zps40c1db71.jpg.html'> To be honest, up close they don't look too gre
  24. I am going to respray my alloys tomorrow as they are a mess.... I was going to just do a straight up black... nice and simple... I would be interested to see some black EP82's with other colours, so if you have pics, please post them Opinions welcome too!
  25. Cheers chaps! Yeh I was pleased it was something so simple, he also said there is still a little more room for adjustment if required. I have only driven it a couple of times since, so its hard to tell if it has worked properly, but given the conditions, so far so good! (As I would be gaurenteed slippage at the moment).
