your valve springs will be fine to 7200, and no one actualy ever got round to finding the right quartz resister rating to do that mod to a standard ecu.

welcome to uksc if yur gonna change the engine u might aswell put the 5efe in it, I've done this and its no different to fittin the 4efe in it. all the wiring is the same, same gearbox and i used the same ecu. it just fits straight in like a 4e. makes sense

first thing check for a power supply to the motor while pressin the switch, if u got power there then its more than likely the motor is fucked or theres a bad earth. if theres no power check the fuses, check the connection on the window switches on both sides. if thats all good its probably a faulty window switch.

any one know if the g6 gearbox is the 6 speed box tha fits the starlet? i can get 1 with 1 month warantee £95 delivered. just making sure its the right 1 as i dunno the difference between g6 an g6r. rich

i got a 5e engine runnin on a 4e ecu. any 1 know if the readings are the same on a paseo speedo as a starlet? and if they'll go in a starlet? i done the clock last night, went past the 120 mph mark but thats all it goes up to. must have been 125 to 130mph nearly hit the limiter in 5th gear.

i was gonna do this on mine, had an idea to make em a bit different never got round to it tho, il end up smashin the glass, see how u get on first i was thinkin of usin a heat gun (or a hair dryer) and a wall paper scraper, just heat up little parts at a time and gently pry it open wiv the scraper. let us know how it goes

are these g6 boxes a straight swap, same drive shafts, gear cable linkage, clutch?

because 13" steelies weigh nothin like alloys so it aint gonna slow it down u wanna see wha it goes like on just the discs

lol no i wasnt joking u can really get yur n/a as fast as a glanza by doing all that if u drill the exhaust an put a chrome piece on the end its an extra 15bhp

take the cat off and chizzle out all the inside = 5bhp take the air filter box off = 5bhp take the carpet out = 5bhp put 13" steelies on it = 10bhp drill holes in the side of yur exhaust back box = 5bhp take the dash out an all the side panels. door cards etc. = 15bhp take the rear seats out and seat belts = 10bhp do all tha an it'll be extra 55 bhp be an animal not sure how long it will go for tho

run yur engine til at normal running temperature, connect the wire of the timing light to 1 of yur spark plug leads and shine the light onto the bottom crank pulley (while the engines runnin), the marks should line up at 10 degrees off tdc (top dead centre) if its out, loosen the 2 bolts on yur distributor and turn it til the crank pulley lines up to the mark.

will it make the noise when u rev it with car standing or only when driving?

i just fitted a steering wheel to my sr, i didnt have no srs light come on though, i looked for the light when u first turn the ignition on aswell but still nothin. is the sr supposed to have 1
