  1. could be a good project for someone tha van, think of the engines u could get in the back of tha, be an animal.
  2. was it worth doin, did it make much difference? I've seen the kits so u can do it yurself but id probably mess it up as I've heard its gotta be done properly or it will lose power.
  3. my car seems to be burnin oil, im hopin its the valve seals and not the piston rings. im gonna take the head off my old 4efe and change the valve seals in that 1 then put it on my 5e so its just a straight swap to save messin about. can anyone confirm that the heads are exactly the same? also is there anything else i can do to the head while its off to improve performance? someone said about a port & polish, anyone know how much it would cost? would it make any difference if i had the head skimmed down to max it would go? if it is the rings worn (fingers crossed it aint), they would h
  4. cant believe sum 1 done this, if sumone got a problem wiv me id rather em take it out on me than my car tha n/a was mint, 1 of the best lookin n/a's I've seen hope u catch the bastards and dont have too much trouble sortin it out
  5. anyone know wha these are like? wha sort of gains il get if any? is it worth buying? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/92-95-Toyota-PASEO-1...ksid=p1638.m122

  8. cheers guys, ye its a starlet sr wiv the 5e conversion. was an old man tha hit me, dunno how he didnt see me if im goin across the front of him to turn right but he managed, no one was hurt tho. i was speakin to sum 1 from an accident repair centre, he deals wiv things like this every day an he said it wouldnt matter if i had 4 bald tyres an no insurance they'd still have to pay out because he admitted it was his fault. so i just left it how it was and took it to nationwide for an estimate an the guy said its a write off so just gotta wait for the insurance company to get back to me, i mig
  9. i was turning right into a side road the other day when someone waitin on the junction decided to pull out an went straight into the side of me spinnin me in the opposite direction. the back quarter panel is smashed in and looks like the back axle is bent as the wheel looks like its towing in a bit, so will need a new o/s/r quarter panel and a new axle, also there a line goin right across the middle of my alloy and right through the speedline writing quite deep aswell so will prob need a new wheel. the guy has rang his insurance and admitted full responsibility so i had a phone call today to t
  10. get a voltmeter an find em, cant be hard *ignition on, ignition start and ignition acc will be behind the ignition barrel *central locking wires where the wires go into by the drivers footwell from the door *indicators from the hazard switch *door trigger input is the switch where the door shuts or use interior light wiring *rpm will be behind the clocks *ignition 2 u probably havnt got *and alternator will be live from the alternator hope this helps
  11. agree wiv paul, had exactly the same problem with the huge bit in the middle of the drivers side where the blade just completely went past the water. id never buy em again. must be just not made for starlets if enzo likes em on his civic
  12. so does it do it while yur drivin or just wen its left tickin over?
  13. ye tha was in 2005, low miles didnt last long tho was on 58k wen i changed the engine
  14. 1998 sr 29000 miles 1 lady owner £2200
  15. lol cheers mate but i couldnt find any
  16. lol push the accelerator 5 times an the brake 10 times turn the ignition off and back on, now uv got unlimited fuel and an extra 5 bhp if u can find out tha would be great, i wouldnt mind programmin another key anyway as i only have 1 an il be fucked if i lose it.
  17. I've got the same 1 in mine. u got 2 live wires, a yellow (permanent live) and red (ignition live). if you join the yellow frm the head unit to the yellow on yur wirin loom and same red to red it stays on wen u turn ignition off? or just dont turn on? if it works but stays on wen ignition is off swap the wires around, join red frm the head unit to yellow on the loom, same wiv yellow frm head unit to red. or if it dont turn on at all uv probly done the same what i did wen i fitted mine and blown the fuse, cant remember which fuse it is tho, try this let us know. rich
  18. shouldnt be a problem then if there all the same immo system, could u find out how to do it manually? or do u know? rich
  19. cheers mate, is there any wiring diagrams about for both clocks?
  20. this has probably been asked before but will the paseo clocks fit straight into an sr? are the connectors all the same?
  21. wouldnt it have to go to toyota to be programmed? the cars i work on (kia lol) have to be programmed usin a diagnostics scan tool, and u cant use a key from 1 kia and programme it to another as each different model has its own colour key. for example, an old shape kia rio has a green key, but the face lift model (using exactly the same engine) has a purple key, it is impossible to programme the purple key to the old shape rio because it just dont recognise the chip in the key, when u try to programme it, it says key is invalid. im sure its gonna be the same for toyota? correct me if im wron
  22. i cant see bypassin the immo bein easy but then like u said id have to get an alarm with its own immo or il be waking up 1 morning to no car, i cant imagine wha toyota would charge to reprogramme it. if it aint gonna make no difference il just leave it how it is but id like to know if it would. the only reason im askin is because id like to get the ecu chipped but not sure if id need the correct ecu to do it or if the 4e ecu could be chipped for the 5e engine due to the difference in compression ratio. cheers anyway joz much appreciated any 1 had there ecu chipped on a n/a or know a place t
  23. I've done the 5efe conversion in my sr but currently runnin on the 4e ecu, im thinking of fittin the 5e ecu to go with the engine but i think i might have problems getting the immobilizer programmed. does anyone know if the 5efe ecu will recognise the chip in my key? or has anyone else done this? id like to get it chipped some time but not sure if id need the right ecu for the engine. is it worth changin the ecu or wont it make any difference? any help appreciated rich
