  1. the cranks are same between 4efte and 4efe.5e is same but little bit stronger as i knw.but the bolt pattern for flywheel is different between 4e and 5e
  2. as said in the topic how to do it? the mods i hv are: 4efte throttle 4efte injectors 4efte fuel rail 4efe MA-5960 ecu (sadly mine didnt came with 5efhe ecu) corolla 100 dual core radiator 4efe fuel pump and everything stock from 5efhe engine going to do 2.25inch exhaust and decat it. My plan is to go turbo but before that want to drive it as fastest na.any suggestion mates?
  3. i knw, i live too far.i have bought parts for my starlet from ebay and which was sent from uk so i think i would be able to sell it through ebay.can anyone tell me or give an idea about what should be the price for the pistons of 5efhe.
  4. i have a 5efhe engine.what price i should ask if i want to sell the whole engine? Or if i want to sale it by parts then for 5efhe cams,pistons,connecting rods,crank and 5efe MA-5498 series ecu.pls help me with the pricing in dollars.

  7. this is my exhaust manifold its a 5efhe engine.sorry for the bad angle as the space is so compact to get proper pics. the mani is similar to the second 1 in the picture below.which i know is a fte manifold.but in my manifold a tubular thing bolts into the end of the manifold which i guess is a cat filter.and it ends up like the fte mani. my ques is there any NA mani which looks like the fte mani but its not!! i am confused because i haven't seen a turbo mani with a cat bolted like these. and if the ans is no then is this fte mani??

  9. What map sensor is this, i mean from what engine?? 4e 5e fte fhe or other?? can anyone identify pls??
  10. i have checked that the lower mounting bolts are same but the strut tower bolt pattern is different.here is the pics as you can see the space differences between the bolts.i am thinking that if i can use the stock plate and replace it with the tein one or i can custom made a plate for the tein....is any of this possible??? and would it hamper my handling??

  13. What are the suspension differences between gt and na ep82?like cv joint etc.are they more stronger in gt?
  14. Is there any other differences rather than the front disc's thickness between the gt and na ep82? And i knw that the na dont have the rear disc also.asking this cause going turbo from na.and need to upgrade brakes. want to know also if the brake kits that fit gt will also fit the na starlet like levin twinpot or wilwood..?
  15. Ok, if it is possible to run low boost in my stock engine and setup then i am fine with it. Do i need any extra parts exept turbo,fte exhaust mani, intercooler and piping? Pls tell me breifly as i dont have enough idea about charging a high cr engine.how much boost i can manage and approx what whp??
  16. hmm i think you are right. what about if i use fte piston and 2.2mm head-gasket??? the cr would be similar to fte right??

  19. I will shave 1.3mm off the 5efhe piston and use 1.2mm headgasket to get 8.6:1 cr.would it then be still problem? I want to start the project with ct9 and stay with the tmic as my budget currently wont allow other than that.but later i have plan for fmic and td06 20g.
  20. I have a 1st gen 5efhe non acis engine.i am wanting to do project and build it as 5efhte.i have read many threads on building 5efte, including the tgtt one(which is 4efte to 5efte). So after reading all these i clearly got some idea and knowledge about the project.but i am confused and unsure if it is sufficient or not as i am going from 5efhe to 5efhte , so i am posting the things that i have: I want to be with the 5efhe parts wherever possible: 5e piston shaving 1.3mm off 5e piston rings Tapped hole the 5e sump for oil drain line 5e pickup 5e oil head ,rocker cover and block 5e rods 5e cam
