  7. In my opinion noone should ever get a loan. When you borrow money they own you! There are more important things in life.. And the most important things in life ARE FREE!! Tom.
  8. Mmmm.. I would just mentally break it all down. Think about everything it could be, and then think outside the box too. However confused you are remember that something is wrong. There's a component somewhere that's not ringing true. Thomas Edison tried and tested over 200 ways to create the incandescent light bulb fillamant. And when asked about his failure he replied: I didn't fail, I found out over 200 ways how not to create a lightbulb. I only have to find one way to make it work. Don't loose faith buddy! Tom.
  9. Mind you his last MOT cost just shy of £1000!!! Can't remember what he had done but his work pays for his mot and insurance!!! Where he uses his car a lot for work. - bloody good isn't it!!! Also the facelift ones had the power steering pump problem fixed to as a lot of them had gone wrong and cost £400 for a new one.
  10. My brothers got a 52 plate bmw Mini Cooper S and that's a fun car! Nice little supercharger in there. Not the quickest thing but it's a lovely ride and could quite happily do 1000s of miles in it! I run it at 1100 revs in 6th mosta the time doing 30mph!
  11. Yeah all the ppi stuff has helped a lota people out!!!! In my mind their fuck up was a win win for all of us!!! Because if you lost your job unexpectedly for example you could use it... But if not could claim loads back!
  12. If you're not fussed about mpg get an old merc 5.5 litre 500bhp monster! Found one on eBay a couple of weeks ago that started out in life costing £104,000 and not 22 years on... Up for 4k!!! That's a lota car for the money, okay it's 22 odd years old, and it's a merc but a mate of mine at one has an old diesel merc and says the parts aren't too expensive!
  13. 3 litre straight six 330 doesn't half sound good though!!!!! And they're quick! Also gotta love the RWD!!!!
  14. I don't think I'd wanna finance anything except get a mortgage in a couple of years. Yeah I had my 21st a month ago so can insure something quicker etc. I think I'm gonna go for a 2007ish bmw e90 330d as do a fair amount of miles each week. Using my dads st175 at the moment and it's a beast!!!! quick enough for me day to day and the bm's I'm looking at are quicker!!!! Remapped to 380ftlbw some of them with 230bhp!
  15. Go bmw mate! That's what I'm in the process of and will have another starlet in a couple of years perhaps as a second car!
  16. Hahahaha yeah!!! A lovely big bottle of glenmorange I reckon! Just think of what you can get for 5k now! But hen again I would never buy a car on finance! Not now knowing what it feels like to be in debt for so long!! Tom.
