figured i mayswell start some form of blog, since it is a mk1 .. ill apologise in advance for my spelling/ punctuation i write how i talk so, slightly retarded, and its a car forum not an english lesson.
i bought the car about april /may time, won it on ebay picked it up one thursday night in the dark .. test drove it discovered a nice clunk which i was putting down to bush's, pulled lovely no smoke, felt solid and came with a couple of mods.

i got to see it in the light the next day .. its green, and for some reason the top half has been sprayed matt black .. my only thought is he's seen trisk's and decided to make his own version. its fair enough it doesn't look too bad and it proberbly fixed a shedload of paintwork faults .. hes also had the roof and bonnet wrapped in carbon. that looks nice i will admit. i'm thinking about a coat of clear over the top of the wrap to make it look a little more authentic.
on the plus side hes spent about 3/4 days sanding down all the boot floor and putting it in primer for me )
he was only a young lad, keeen and spent a lot of time on the forum so he said .. couldnt afford to insure it and bought himself one of those 600cc 4wd jap kei cars,
so when i picked it up it was standard other than the above mentioned .. my old man is the parts guy at toyota in hull, so naturally if i let the old man take it, the techs there practically steal her.

that was a day or so after i bought her .. i put those alloys on i had them laid about the tires are practically new.

the other weekend i set about fitting a downpipe i got from toby .. which has changed things dramatically, the backfire makes me moist ..
the manifold is still cracked but i cant undo the centre top two nuts to replace it (

i replaced both wheel bearings when i did the bottom arm bush's, arb and droplinks .. only to have one of them shit itself before id mounted it to the car. i dont know if this is toyotas fault when pressing it in or manufacturer but ((

i got my grubby mits on some p.i lowering springs thanks to mr vokes and his silver mk3, im not sure how much its dropped but at least it now doesnt look like a toyota hi-lux

that towing eye is redonkulous i know i keep smashing my shin on it it was there when i bought it.

also as some people know my turbo has gone boooooooom.. should have a replacement this weekend tho .. maybe. and future plans are 200bhp.. next purchase will be a front mount and hopefully an actuator since im currently running at 0.6 or less with knacked oil seals ..

There's some liquid in my turbo not worked out what it is tho I was too frustrated and gutted I've just walked away and left it in bits .. any thoughts boys, head gasket or turbooomm ?

Yeah its too thick to be condensation .. and it doesn't appear to be using any coolant, this is why I'm blagged, anyone got a picture of the inlet pipework aka coolant pipe I know its a common mix up

Dunno what's going on I start the car, ticks over fine no smoke, lovely on or off boost or when driving as soon as its warm and I stop and leave the car to idle I'm engulfed in nasty white smoke ..
I've got no mayo in the rad or rocker
Not using any fluids
Oils clean and was changed a week ago along with filter.
I snapped the pcv on the rocker and it gave me some lovely blue smoke so I blocked the inlet hole and dug out the pcv and put a breather pipe in.
It's calmed down but still loves me.
My intercooler pipes are clean and dry.
On a ct9 standard wastegate, no boost control, 0.6 bar, downpipe and maybe 2" straight through exhaust
Anyone got any thoughts ?

I need to wait till the finds appreciate front mount funding .. so do I need the hi/lo boost switch to get it to .8 ? And will any his actuator fit on ? Or are they car specific. I'm nervous about the fanimold, its allready cracked once and been Tig welded but it was free so let's have a party I've got the de-cat now. I wanna get on the stand at japfest

hahaha boys calm down i dont even own a front mount yet, im not destroying that bumper .. im slightly tempted to go for a long thin intercooler anyway make it look a little stealth ..
anyways yesterday i went a bit mad and removed the air con fixed my destroyed wheel bearing, and fucked about with the glow panel wiring for trisK
Thats my engine at the moment .. pretty standard. i hate that hks dump valve, its entirely too fast and furious, and the strut brace is bright orange
all the air con bits, i could push my finger between the fins in the rad
a quick question about my vac pipe situation, ive removed the solenoid and link the pipes like so ..but its only boosting to 0.6, ncan anyone shed any light as to where im going wrong ??
ive got this bad boy to fit aswell when my de-cat arrives from toby (thanks man)

yeah there not that shiney now but i could seriously tell the difference when i was following my friends renault 5, going into corners i was loosing speed well quicker than him .... having said that, its a Renault ..

ill start with the steering wheel i swopped might not be to everyones taste but i tink it feels 10x better in my hands ..

also when i bought it there was a lovely crack/ filler attempt on the rear panel which after much searching i managed to replace..

its sat on my friends driveway at the second minus a wheel bearing and excuse the uncleanlyness..
im going to remove the air con today and some other bits
and this is the front brakes .. the old disks had some nasty cracks on them the worst is pictured..

I'm jonny, I accidentally bought myself a gt turbo about 4/5 months ago I'm 23 and I owned a wonderfully french 205 gti which I spent 98% of my weekends fixing.
Decided to get a reliable car and so far so good .. touch wood.
It's an origional mk1 gt in some really strange green I've not found the colour code for, hence the name the green turd, usual age related marks, front bumper, etcc but there's one football shaped dent that winds me up..... damn kids. Has the glow panel, fog light in the rear clusters and ABS ? ? If anyone can tell me more about this car I'd be thrilled, I heard they didn't come with abs or the rear fog light inside the rear lense, it also appears to have Sachs shocks.
I've meshed the turbo and polybushed pretty much the whole front end, fitted grooved front disks and greenstuff pads, replaced the rear glow panel for one in better condition and chucked a set of 15" alloys on.
Anyways I'll attempt to upload a picture

Yeahh I've got a beasty blowtorch I used to use when I was plumbing that should get them hot enough I think, although I had my turbo off the other day without removing it .. I have a stainless one, that my friend wants to swop for a mild steel one, mainly because he wants it to look nice under the bonnet and mild steel rusts .. the thought of a rex top mount is there but I think its not worth it because of heat soak and the looks .. I wanna be able to see my rocker and fuel rail when you pop the bonnet and with the need for 200 I'm gunna need as much air through my intercooler as possible, but like I've Said I might go for a wide thin front mount off a 2wd cossie or something, it'll tuck nicely behind everything and still be extra stealth if I paint it black .. I'm sure it being a ct9. the intercooler doesn't need to be huge or I'm just gunna get more lag and less response ..
