  1. So next I wanted jap build quality again and had driven a few Mazda MPS's so went for a 3 MPS. Was a fantastic car- lovely interior and easily tuneable. From just an intake and map I ran just under 300. With an updated fuel pump on top of that you can go to 320 and 350 is even pretty easy but 300 through the front wheels was enough for me. Highly recommend these cars and was a great all rounder but a change in job location means that I now live right next to where I work so I'm now in the sr with a golf gt as the family car.

  2. I owned it a week but then found out my lass was pregnant so sold the car to socks who then sold it on to Jack. I regret that sale too as I is know I could've kept it. Next I got a clio 197- I've got to say it was the best handing fwd car I've ever driven and would run rings around the scooby. The brakes were amazing too! But it was made out of tin foil and fag packets and was dead below 5k until the larey cam kicked in so it was time for more boost!

  3. Had oem wind deflectors and a mint engine bay- the short gearing was a bit mad but I was going to look into that. The plan was to boost it and make an sr rep. I already had all the body parts and wheels to convert the car when I bought it.

  4. it was at this point I started looking at starlets again and 4paw's in particular. I knew they were rare and just kept my eye open. Then one night I noticed one for sale in Scotland so probably undercut a lot of people but said over the phone that I'd go that night and buy it unsean! When I got there the car seemed pretty much mechanically sound but there were a few dings on the body that didn't worry me too much.

  5. By this time though I had a pretty decent sized loan due to the amount of money spent on the celica and money towards the scooby. So I decided I needed to behave for a bit- get rid of the loan and was looking to change jobs. So I got an Auris SR180 and had it mapped to 204 with 340lbsft. I also fitted some team dynamics pro race 1.3's which were superlight. The car never missed a beat and was good fun beating things it shouldn't have but was dreadful in the corners and had the old man image.

  6. I shouldn't have ever sold it really and to this day I'm not sure why I did. While it was getting rebuilt I owned an ep82 and then this Corolla TTE- for anyone not in the know, these had kits offered by dealers with various options. Mine had MIM wheels, TTE front end, TTE spoiler, TTE springs and working fogs. Was a lovely car and I traded it in for the next car but looking back I shouldn't have as they are so rare now.

  7. So next came the gt4.. Still the best car I've ever owned, completely underrated and anyone wanting to progress in terms of grip from starlets should defiantly consider a decent one of these. I was single when I owned it and spent a lot of cash over the years to get it to 403whp with equal torque. They aren't heavy cars to start with and I managed to easily strip 100kg out of it with out being mental.

  8. The next was a mk2 Mr2 in a choice colour I must admit ha ha! But it was very clean and a big step up in performance and I loved every minute of driving it. The only thing that's stopped me getting another is the two seater thing and I sold mine because I went In an evo which leads me to the next car and boost!

  9. Well it's no secret that I don't like seeing sr's getting glanza repped ha ha but I guess if they were all the same then it'd be a bit boring. Just nowadays there aren't many left original ish.

Ah yeh I know what you mean- are you busy with work/ family etc? My work has been mental lately and I've got a wife and little boy so don't get much man time! It's made me realise how much time I had when I had my gt4 and was single!

  10. Ah mate thanks very much for your kind words it took me a very long time find a good one in black. Along the way I discovered that mileage isn't everything although a month after buying mine I got offered a really clean one with crazy low miles but had already committed to mine.

The chrystal lights are from ID WORKZ and are genuine options- just lift the front end nicely. The TTE back boxes are very rare as you know but rot so quickly even on an 11k car that's been in storage. I'm pleased I saved the tailpipe and my custom system but I'd still probably be tempted by an original Remus system.

Like you mentioned in your thread mate I too wanted the glanza rear strut but it's a lot of work to get one to fit- It might be one of the last things I get done but we will see. Must say though that the cusco strut is brilliant

  11. Yeh it's not great is it. I was thinking about the black sound proofing from Halfords as I had that in my gt4.

    Spray all interior plastics black

Finish the custom low seat rails

    Retrim door cards

    K&n air filter

    Under seal the car

    Anti lift kit

    Rear anti roll bar

    Corolla Inlet mani

Race tec rocker cover with custom breathers

Replace all nuts and bolts in the engine bay

    Refurbish all engine bay brackets

Spray front bumper and drivers sill

Wheel refurb with new centre cap stickers

    Emanage blue Ecu
