  1. Sorry jack I didn't see your reply! Cheers for the plastics mate. Can't wait for the exhaust to get done- should tidy the exterior up a lot. In talks with Keri at the moment to get some 4mm wheel spacers made up- don't want any bigger than that as I don't want to mess around with the studs. The engine bay does need a good clean but I want to sort a race tec painted rocker cover with the two breathers to a catch can as the standard rocker lets it down. I'll paint the Corolla Inlet mani when I get one. Going to try and replace all the rusty nuts and bolts in the engine bay next weekend too. Got
  2. Nice one I'll have a look. Just waiting for my wife and son to leave then hopefully cracking on with the fronts. Got the trd strut off for painting this week and the car is going in for the exhaust tomorrow Read your whole build thread last night mate and It really made me want more power- missing the 300bhp I had two weeks ago
  3. Just a small update really- as pointed out by a few guys, the 98 rear seats have different front hangers so I cut the ones from the old seats, bent them carefully and hooked them over the hangers on the 98 seats. Then bolted them in and the covers went back on front seats will hopefully go in tomorrow if I get time.
  4. Welcome mate, sounds like great plans- get some pics up of your progress

  7. Ha ha it should just be is working mate depends if there's any level one stuff that needs doing but I doubt it for afternoons it's usually just mornings
  8. Thanks for all the nice comments- the car has been really well looked after in the past. Got the exhaust booked in for a week tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that. Really busy with work next week so the front seats are going to have to wait for now I think :/
  9. Ah yeh it was Wednesday wasn't it. Ah nice one mate sounds like a plan thanks. Yeh we might be on extended hours his week :/ we are all joining together helping with all the kit coming back from Poland so there goes my chances of getting my seat bases chopped
  10. Ha ha yeh someone said they know you and said they'd see if you had any the other week lol. Do you mean thurs night? Yeh I've looked into turboing it a lot to be honest and it does look the way to go I've always loved the altezza's but you're right, finding a decent one is hard and they arnt that quick- beat one in my mapped auris lol. I don't know what it is about starlets I've always loved them- well all 90's toyotas to be honest
  11. Would the hearing be ok? Ah shame the Lexus isn't an altezza but I do like the is200's- a lot of car for the money
  12. Ah it's an auto :/ I'd need the gearbox aswel
  13. Oh ok I'll have a look. What are you getting to replace it?
  14. So when you're ready to get rid of it I can have it as a donor car then ;) Cheers Adzy- it also seemed to get rid of a lot of swirl marks and light surface scratches
  15. Cheers buddy it really is good. Saw your glanza yesterday- looks very tidy. Have you done much to this one?
  16. Not sure if anyone's heard of this. Before anyone asks, I'm not on commission! So i was channel flicking the other night and watched the advert on the shopping channel. It looked really good but I was skeptical I've got to admit. I thought ah why not so ordered it and used it today. it really is good literally lifts the crap straight off with one microfibre cloth and leave for a few mins then buff the paint work with another. Gives my car a really deep shine and takes about half the time of a water wash. I'd say even if you're not keen on using it regularly it's still handy for shows etc. I
  17. It takes a lot to tempt me from an sr and if this was a month ago I'd have had it- good luck with the sale, worth every penny mate
  18. After that, clean your clear cover as the finger prints will drive you mad otherwise. Refit everything and enjoy I appreciate this might look a bit anal and over kill but the surround isn't what I'd call 'cheap' so that extra 10mins of patients will pay off and give you the look you want
  19. Tonight I added an aluminium dial surround. Might not be to everyone's taste but I just wanted to freshen up that area a bit and didn't want to go down the carbon route. Got the surround from eBay which came from Germany: http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tachoblende-Silber-Tacho-Toyota-Paseo-Starlet-Blende-/190282944623?nav=SEARCH Came in three days and the quality of it is fantastic.
  20. Price quotes should be the price you pay so shouldn't be any more than that I'm just a bit gutted really that I havnt been offered as good a deal
  21. I pmd him on here as I've know him a few years and we always have a catch up. But suprised I'm getting quoted £30 extra to be honest :/
