  1. http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/50589-motions-ep91-na-build-thread-update-stripped-and-painted-in-the-back/ Check this guys build thread out mate he's done the glanza rear brace- as mentioned by a few guys you need to weld a lower mounting plate and weld the extra threads on the strut towers. Thought you'd like it aswell because it's red too and a solutly mint
  2. How he hell haven't I found this build thread before?! I found this through Google. Awesome work mate epic car
  3. Yeh I'll give him a try- it actually says they have a place near Nottingham too so will give them a ring after the brakes are sorted
  4. 5mm should be ok to keep the original studs shouldn't they? Just I'm struggling to find a decent set. Keri at WMS said they could sort me a set so I said lets do it and heard nothing. Maybe I'll just email again as they do make quality kit.
  5. Seems like a decent price to be honest. I'm in Lincolnshire/ Andover / Nottingham depending on the weekend so not within 30miles will def look into it though but need to sort the problem of my car not stopping first
  6. H&R are a decent brand so I'll end up going with them but I don't want the wheels to catch or the handling to suffer so I'm looking around the 5mm mark but heard the studs can be a nightmare to relplace :/
  7. Hi buddy, only just managed to get on here and have a read through the whole lot. Absolutely love the car, very rare colour and very clean. I'm one of the few fans of the NA rear bumper but I think the glanza rear looks well on yours. Really like the gt spoiler and other than the TTE it's the best I've seen on a starlet. How much was your alarm and where did you get it from mate?
  8. What spacers are you using mate? Have you had to swap you studs? I've been on to WMS for a while but think they're really busy and I'm not really getting anywhere. So I think I'll just go for some H&R 5mm with extended nuts.
  9. Thanks mate that's exactly the plan. It does need more power and will eventually get some but it won't be larey or obvious. All pipe work and joiners will be black to try and make it look like Toyota put it there
  10. Ha ha I'm off to a wedding today so will have to sort that tomorrow. Thanks buddy
  11. Cheers mate to be honest I didn't realise it's run out! I'll pay up again soon. Could you change it to 'Black SR' please. Can't really call it new anymore lol
  12. It still won't give me the option :/
  13. I'll heck it out mate ;) anyone know how to change the name of your build thread?
  14. Sounds like a long road to getting one mate. Have you put a progress thread up yet? Rare colour that you've got
  15. It's a complex build mate and to be expected. Everyone waits on here with baited breath for any kind of updates so it's good to see its all heading in the right direction. When it's all done I'm sure it'll be one hell of a weapon. I'd love a 2zz-ge in my sr in NA form as they are cracking engines
  16. Wow you'll need to employ someone to polish that engine bay every day of the week!
  17. Wow I never knew they were that far off- I missed out on one by £1 on eBay last month! Trimming the plastics isn't too bad mate. If you've got a dremel then it's fairly easy just measure and take your time cutting. I cut the basic outline using the mini cutting blade and then using the mini sander to neaten and trim a little more as I went. That way I didn't over cut the plastics. The covers won't fit back on as standard but i was thinking of trimming them to see so I'll let you know.
  18. It was a lovely car but I just never wanted to drive it as I was obsessed with cleaning it Shame you missed out on that morgey that's a good price
  19. Yeh that's the way to do it! Mate I'm still loving the car even though it's different to what I had planned it's nice to see it turning into a weapon
  20. What stopped you getting a starlet mate?
  21. Thanks westley a lot of regrets really
  22. So there we go Morgey where did you see the TTE spoiler?- they are v rare
  23. So next I wanted jap build quality again and had driven a few Mazda MPS's so went for a 3 MPS. Was a fantastic car- lovely interior and easily tuneable. From just an intake and map I ran just under 300. With an updated fuel pump on top of that you can go to 320 and 350 is even pretty easy but 300 through the front wheels was enough for me. Highly recommend these cars and was a great all rounder but a change in job location means that I now live right next to where I work so I'm now in the sr with a golf gt as the family car.
