The problem I've got is: are the starlet and Corolla gaskets the same? If yes then I'll just order through Toyota but if not I've got to find the reg of a Corolla with that mani fitted and order it that way

Ah right are you keeping the sr bits and theme then or going completely different. Do love those remix bumpers and it's the only thing I'd be tempted to add to mine. What internal diameter is your green vac hose mate?

Anyone got a part number for the gasket? Seems a bit of a mine field as I'm searching

Call me Jase mate- really regret using my surname as my user name but it's done now. Yeh I know exactly what you mean love them but the lack of power is starting to get at me. Ah that's great if it goes to him then. Sold my mps to a good friend so still get to drive it now and again and modify it as he hasn't got a clue about cars. Standard they are decent aren't they but mapped they're something else. I don't think there's much out here that comes close in terms of bang for bucks and the amount of kit you get.

would you guys recommend getting a new corolla manifold gasket for fitting or does the starlet one fit? i'll be fitting my mani this weekend all being well so just need to make sure ive got everything

Ha ha I'm not on a downer with typeR owners and rate the cars but this one in particular seemed a bit of a gimp. Obviously a half decent driver (maybe without their other half screaming at them in the passenger seat) would leave an sr in the corners too. Once had someone in a pulsar race my gt4 and afterwards said "I know it's a celica but what the fuck have you done to it?!" He didn't know what a gt4 was and he was in a pulsar.

Very nice. I should get mine this week then it's getting refurbed and fitted but I just wanted to know if there's anything else I need. I should be ok with the stock gasket as long as it's in fact although I am tempted to order one just to be safe. I'll have to get hold of some hose too but not sure where to get it from

It's the typical response really from people who assume you're in your first car and don't know a thing about them. I can hardly be a dick my self and drive around with stickers saying what I've owned in the past although sometimes I wish I could lol. Just looking forward to having more fire power in the future so I can at least keep up on the straights. it's the first time the lack of power has bothered me to be honest as I just like the car being clean and driving it around.

Sounds brilliant mate don't have any sr posters kicking around do you ha ha? My local dealer always seemed to have cool cars on show, I sat in a white starlet sr and a fully stickered up wrc kitted Corolla TTE, probably the reason I ended up owning both and being Toyota mad

I was going to say- your engine bay is so clean was just that one bit that needed sorting. Ive heard people say that they can feel a difference but I'm not sure if that's just a plussebo effect, will find out soon! Do you need the Corolla manifold gasket or does the starlet one fit? Also which hose needs to be changed for a longer one mate do you know?

I actually rate the ep3's but finding a good one is hard. I am biased towards the corollas though and no one really knows what they are! I'd love a 20v morgey but realistically I'll be looking at a bolt on turbo kit I think. I was happy just to be right there with it all through the bends he was going nowhere. When SR's are stickered up they really are a marmite car I think and a lot of people just laugh at them. Having owned a lot of different cars over the years I've got to say this is the most fun I've had this cheap and I love it

You should see over 300 easy- mine was just below 300 just on a htp Intake and map. Cracking cars aren't they.

Looking good mate mines the opposite to yours- my heat shield is like new but I need to paint my Corolla mani and rocker. Have you noticed any difference in performance with the mani?

Are you getting djjut to map it mate? That's who did mine and it was epic afterwards you'll be running about 320 with the hpfp internals won't you? I sold mine in Nov for the sr ha ha!

Gripe of the day: ep3 typeR owner- "I thought them starlet turbos were a lot faster than that" me- "it's not a turbo it's got 76bhp" typeR- "oh" This is after he and his girlfriend had looked at the sr laughing then at me like I'd just fallen out of my mums fanny and on to the car scene. I was up his arse in the twisty stuff though which was brilliant, he must have been a shite driver. I need more power!

By the way you havnt got the boot carpet from the glanza have you?

I don't blame you for losing heart with it mate. I'd have it but mine is mint so I don't want to sell it and yours it too good for me to rob all nice bits off. Hopefully it goes to an sr lover on here mate. The interior on the glanza is looking lovely, just lifts it and is pretty different. You've defiantly got a thing for green!
