  1. I planned to enter the TSS but like your 86 I've now spent too much time and money on it :/ looking forward to seeing updates
  2. As the car sits now it looks amazing mate love the lengths you went to to make it a one off in this country. I always preferred the simpler lines of the brz as Toyota tends to stick stuff all over their cars at the min but love what you've done giving it a cleaner look. I think the spoiler would look great in red but I do like it as it is as well. I'm sure Fensport appreciated you helping them out! They did a lot of work on my gt4 and couldn't fault them shame the 86 won't see much proper track action but I really can understand why! This is a bit of a sleeper really as most people won't be
  3. Cool i'll have a look tonight! Yeh we get the shitty end of the stick with these 'special' versions don't we. So you don't even get a plaque or anything just a certificate lol. Seems like you've done the best option by modifying a standard one. I think Japan did a basic one with steelie wheels, no stereo and unpainted front and rear bumpers that was offered as the 'tuners option' but ironically people tend to leave them as is. Anyway i won't mention the 86 on here from now on lol it's unfair to the starlet. How much were the tyres if you don't mind me asking?
  4. When are you booking it in? Looking Forward to seeing the results I know that 170 is got pretty easy with the bolt on kit I just worry about pushing these old engines ha ha
  5. Well if it's a weekend toy then the skies the limit! Were the TRD ones special chassis numbers? As mentioned get a thread up. Hopefully the tyres are good, let us know how you get on
  6. I want my interior plastics doing but no one ever bloody replies! Yeh I was thinking about a ct9 too- I'm only looking to run v v low power for a start: 140ish would do me as its near on double what I'm at now. Seems a lot cheaper to go ct9 too but then part of me thinks maybe just go td04 on low boost Oh and I meant where are you going for the mapping etc?
  7. V true, all the aero actually works- the brakes are meant to be brutal
  8. Looks lovely mate fantastic in that colour too. What turbo kit are you going for and where? Also, who did your hydro dipping in the rocker cover because no companies ever get back to me
  9. A lot of TRD parts were developed on the car but yeh sadly no production car as it seems like more of a test mule. So you've got the only red TRD86? I do think the engine is cracking but feel that the chassis is crying out for more power like most of us ha ha. I take it you didn't feel 320 was even enough?
  10. Agree mate saw it at goodwood too. Anyone seen the 'griffon' project? Just google image it and listen to the thing on YouTube. Not sure if they've touched the engine now but originally it had extensive handling, brake and aero mods to get the lap times down
  11. After seeing motions red needles on his build thread i quite like them in red so decided to do mine. If you've never removed the needles then using a teaspoon each side to leaver them off works quite well I then used wet and dry to get rid of the orange paint, masked up the needle and carefully repainted them red. I used the Mazda paint as pictured- took a bit of a punt at the colour but it's perfect. Will get them fitted tomorrow when they're dry
  12. Cheers Morgey I hope so too as my brakes are non existent at the moment! Carmenfal: thanks for the awesome comments mate. Which bits do you mean with regards to them being hard to come by? Yeh defo get a thread up mate i love SR's through and through. I can't explain why though and I probably look daft in mine but I don't care ha ha. Mileage isn't everything mate and if the car is in good condition it really doesn't matter I don't think. I didn't like the dogs at first but they've really grown on me. Just fitted the k&n panel filter tonight but haven't had a chance to drive the car since
  13. It might be something I look at upgrading to in the future but for now I'll see how I get on with these. Who did you get to skim your disks? I've got the spigots ask spacers so fingers crossed it all mounts up
  14. Ha the Corolla is getting some love! I've heard nothing but great things about them. Did you have to use locating rings for the disks? And did you get your kit from Russ?
  15. I've got pretty angry in the past about recieving shite things like that but getting angry isn't healthy lol. it was that bad i just laughed my head off that they'd actually send it like that. Gave them crap feedback and didn't even email them though as they should know why. Cheers mate hopefully they fit without any issues and stop nicely
  16. Is that on the starlet Morgey? I like the idea of being able to see them and unless you're properly looking I don't think you'd notice what they are so ill go silver I think
  17. An eBay breaker mate- total fucking joke but laughed that hard when I saw it because it's a disgrace! Looked like they'd removed it with a hammer too!
  18. And the whiteline rear anti roll bar. I'll probably re paint it black but other than the blue it's brand new. That's my spending done for a while now though as I'm now officially skint and want to save for the paint work next.
  19. And the levin twin pots along with braided lines. Some will call it over kill but I call it being able to stop. They need a clean up but are pretty good. Was wondering what colour to do them- black to be stealthy or silver?
  20. Few updates- got hold of the centre tray carpet
  21. Just got a levin brake upgrade and white line anti roll bar, both are in great condition and he even drove them 1 1/2 hours to my house. Top guy was nice to meet you and we could've probably talked cars all night. Cheers Jase
  22. Wow the bonnet looks amazing I managed to get hold of a levin conversion so will see how I get on with them are you doing a bolt on turbo kit or are you swapping the engine? I've been looking at a bolt on kit for ages but want the brakes, body and handling sorted first. I think I might even just run an emanage on its own for a bit first
  23. Heard that the stock brakes arent usually that great but yours looked fine on track. you'll have to get some more vids up
  24. Looking forward to seeing it mate by the way, how do your brakes get on with track use?
