Right so tonight we installed the rocker cover, flywheel and clutch,cut the sandwich plate for the LSD box. replaced gearbox seals and mated the engine and gearbox together. So hopefully by the end of the week it will be in the car ready to go

On schedule for the engine to go in by the end of the week. Didn't fancy a plain rocker cover so I gave it a paint again.

I would go with release bearing. Mine had the same symptoms and changed slave, but it turned out to be the bearing.

Mine was ally welded about 6 years ago, never had any problems!

Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything, has anyone got pics of where the vac and water pipes go on the inlet? As I want to be sure when the new engine goes in. Thanks!

so tonight the cams went in, engine all timed up and inlet installed along with the fuel rail and injectorsAlso put the turbo kit on to see how it looks! Take no notice of the overspray on the rocker, going to give it another coat of paint.

Probably just after Christmas I hope!

Bit of progress today, engine out, alternator swapped over. Just waiting for a camshaft seal to arrive so it can all be timed up

Fitted my nardi wheel with snap off boss, put the recaros back in. Hopefully getting the car recovered tonight to my mates premises to get this swap done.

Ain't done much this last couple of weeks. relationship breakups and all that...sort of lost interest..but I'm trying to get motivated to finish the fucking thing. In the meantime picked up one of these to make me feel better. Innovate wideband and boost controller in one unit. Got it second hand never used at a good price. Also received my snap off boss from jdm-ep so that all needs to go on...hopefully Gona try and motivate myself to do the engine swap in a few weeks.
