  1. Fair enough mate thanks for the help At least i know now for the future, ive removed the king lead for when i put the new turbo on so i it stops me from starting it and reminds me lol
  2. i was told there wasnt any water seals in a ct9? i really don't understand why you have to prime a turbo because when you turn the car on oil goes straight to the turbo anyway :/
  3. Have just put this setup on my car and the braking is mint! Deffo worth £55 lads!

  6. no i didnt prime it mate, that another reason i think it might be the turbo, kuz i could have blown the turbo seals, but its white smoke which is usually coolant, not blue which is oil :L
  7. Getting the k1 rebuilt anyway just so I know its done then mate
  8. Don't think its losing either, but its hard to tell, it may only be losing a slight bit mate
  9. oh I thought u were gonna say an actual reason of why it would damage the headgasket giving it beans with a new turbo lol
  10. Will be changing it this week, if the smoke goes away then I know it was the turbo but if it doesn't then head gasket I reckon
  11. I think my headgasket is possibly on its way out, how easy would it be for me to replace this by myself?
  12. why would it cause head gasket failure after giving it beans when i used to give my old turbo the same treatment a lot of time
  13. I'm swapping the turbo back to my old one, it's a bit of a coincidence that the smoke only came up after I fitted the new turbo
  14. Ok just checked it over, from what it looks like to me as soon as I go from driving to idle it will give out white smoke for a bout 10-15 seconds and then it will go back to clear smoke
  15. It's only gives out thick white smoke when warm in idle from what I can see, I don't think it's head gasket as previous turbo ran absolutely fine and didn't give any white smoke. I was told after fitting and running the turbo that I should have primed it to stop the turbo being starved of oil but if glanzaJ is saying it water then I don't know
  16. Just fitted a k1 turbo and now there is white smoke coming out the exhaust, it's very thick, would this be turbo seals? This wasn't happening on my old turbo

  20. Just took of my eBay ct9 turbo to put on my new turbo (blitz k1) and the eBay turbo bore size is much bigger! Does this mean it will perform better than the k1!??
  21. Anyone? Think of buying some threaded bar instead, does anyone know what the strongest material is that can be used for manifold bolts?
