  1. It's the clasp that fails, not the bolt, or any of the anchor points.

The material use in the actual harness is I'm sure fine and dandy, it's the more important stuff like the clasps and buckles which have failed.

Don't kid yourself into thinking that fitting one of these things is OK.

Gheeeez must have been paper thin clasps then!

Most are 5mm thick steel plus!

Not sticking up for any product, just throwing in my 2p, known people that have had big smashes with them and been fine and still securely held in place.

  2. I didnt use the eyelets i got with the rep they looked nasty. I got proper ones from demo tweeks for that reason harness its self seams solid to be honest :)

Exactly the same here mate, nasty cheap casts.

Bought 8 from jjc race and rally for 25 quid posted that screw straight into the rear belt mounting holes and the seatbelt holes :)

  3. So sorry too hear about this hope your recovering well.when your ready to put car back together I've got the rear beams complete and wishbones too all freshly powder coated black..reshell the car it will never be the same.theres a couple local forsale

    Cheers mate :)

Insurance want to fix her, had a few very clued up mates take a look and they think it's repairable, fingers crossed

  4. Car fixed? id of thought its totalled?

    you not re shelling?

Insurance reckon it can be fixed, new door and some work on the rear quarter panel, minor bends can be pulled out with the jig. Then just a new box + some love underneath and she 'should' be sorted

Rear beam looks out of line from the quarter panel being pushed in, wishbones are easily replaced.

Fingers crossed she looks good as new after, mostly annoyed about the livesports lip being smashed into bits.

  5. Insurance should be paying out to have the car fixed/that side resprayed :)

Aww man that's savage ! Carbon fenders look in tack which is a bonus :)

    James

That's the only plus here haha :)

Totally messed up matey, feel for ya , after all the work you've put into her too. Here's hope for a speedy recovery for you and the car.

    All the best 👍

    Cheers mate :)

Speedy recovery & then reshelling wishes from Jamaica bro

    Thanks bro

  6. I KNEW YOU LOT WOULD BE STRAIGHT ON HERE!!!!

    Hahahaha.

Cheers for the kind words guys, long story cut short. Drunk woman driver, I dodged her, went up a bank, into a wall then about 10ft into the air. She sped off then swapped over driving with her husband then they came back (lots of witnesses though so she's not too clever) they both smelt like a German brewery regardless.

Even with me telling the police the following-

    The road is blocked

    There are bricks everywhere

    The third party are drunk

There plate is showing no insurance

They refused to turn up because no one was hurt.

In future I will be ramming people. And that's no joke.

I'm fine just a case off tennis neck.

    Shells fucked.

Adrian flux have gone from my best freind to worst enemy, have been spoken to like it's my fault from the minute i said the word claim. I would not reccomend them to anyone. Will be changing insurers asap.

Will be re shelling. Seems like all the local 1ao owners are doing it anyway so might as well jump on the band wagon.

Thanks for the kinds words guys xxx

  7. Turbine wheels are the same mate, it's only the compressor wheels which are different, their 11 blade billet wheels. Spool the same as GT series turbo's, but just flow an extra 10-15% more air due to the blade aero.

There's no problem with the oil pumps, don't those P&P ecu's raise it up to like 8500? Could always shim the relief valve although not ideal. A GT28 deffo needs a raised rev limit to make the most out of them.

That's the one! Knew it was somthing to do with the wheels haha,

And im only going on what I'm told anywho, diffrent inlet will be going on in the not so distant future and then on the map tweak I'll look into getting the limit raised, it would definatly help with the drop off between gears anyway !

  8. All Garrett GT series turbo's are dual ball bearing, at least from GT25 upwards.

Have to remember that it's the air pump infront of the turbo that drives it, just because and engine is forged doesn't mean it's going to be suited to every turbo on the market.

Nice to see some vids of this thing at last anyway pal! :p

    Cheers mate :)

Yeah a few people have told me the only difference between GTX and GT is the turbine wheels?

  9. It goes really well but from videos (and I might be wrong here) it seems like you aren't left with a very broad powerband?

Is there another turbo that would spool quicker but give ~300bhp? I think I'd rather take a hit on peak power for a broader range of power

I have about 2600 to play with mate, to be honest it's not as bad as it sounds, after me getting used to it she is still very drivable you just have you use the gears a bit more.

Rev limit could be moved up to like 8200 with no problems what so ever, but the guy who mapped it (barnaby from redline) adviced against it as he has lots of bad experience with high revving 4e's.

I'm more than happy though, could throw a smaller exhaust housing on bit im not that fussed :)
