  1. They are for starlet front wishbone bushes https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/331404026304
  2. Possibly however I haven't had a look at standard bushes only the Cusco ones that couldn't be removed. You would have to make sure the bush comes out un damaged Edit : no then lol
  3. Haha no rush I do believe them bushes I made will hold as they had to be pressed in and no need for washers on the outside
  4. You could but then you can never go back to the original size and if you decide to use proper coilovers you will not be able to Mount them as the bolt will have to be m10 and will rattle round in an m12 hole
  5. I have full confidence in mine working perfectly and will keep them just to prove it once it's on the road properly
  6. Must add that the pin has to be machined down from 52mm to 32mm and the bush once inserted must measure the same
  7. No because the powerflex bushes already come as two halfs with a pin the goes right through. As long as you leave enough meat on the outside the bush should be contained and no move out
  8. Starlet front wishbone ones however the pin is 12mm hole and should be about 10mm you can probably buy the pin but mines just to drive short distance for now. I also just wanted to see if I could do it lol
  9. Colin has used his in anger and found that the lower mounting kept failing ( correct meIf I'm wrong Colin) however by modifying powerflex bushes and making them fit I think I have addressed that issue. If you leave the helper spring in you can go rather low. I will take a picture of the car tomorrow but it's probably at its highest point at the minute
  10. I managed to do a set for the rear using mk1 golf coilovers. I have Cusco fronts. I only did this as my shocks were on lowering springs and the ride was horrible! I will be changing to a full set of proper starlet coilovers before the car gets used properly (before anyone jumps down my throat lol) You can use the springs etc you get with the coilovers however I had a set of Cusco rears that had bad dampers so I transferred all the rest of the stuff over. Modified the bottom mounting point to size and modified a set of powerflex bushes to suit
  11. I have my race tech manifold and downpipe on ebay at the minute its going cheap at the minute as well http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Race-Tech-Manifold-And-Downpipe-Glanza-Gt-Turbo-/151997407603?hash=item2363c06173:g:N8MAAOSwKtVW0gbV
  12. Strut brace arrived today very well packaged !!

    1 scat rod !

I'm after just 1 scat rod as mine spun a shell when I bought it and it looks like it's seen better days !! I think you can see what one it was
  14. yea Adam I don't disagree, figures help 100% the only thing I probably would have struggled with when testing the springs is its seat position highet and base pressure to set them at. I would have been able to get valve open and closed pressure of the Spring etc but I see what you mean by the other specs now. Having done the research now on them and finding the base pressure im sure someone will be able to calculate the machine work needed on the head to get these to sit at the right height with the required base pressure
  15. Don't know yet mate not got them at hand to make sure they are worth selling id want to make sure they are in good working order first
  16. Id say your pretty spot on mate after doing all the research I don't actually need valve springs right now, im only running a tongs ct9 externally gated on a forged lump but was considering putting the springs in for future turbo upgrades so its already done,. However, I think I will just be selling these on now I have all the information I need.
  17. no they had these up as direct fit years ago, then when something went wrong they changed the website to state that some modification to the head may be required, This (from what I have read) was down to the base pressure being to high when fitted directly and causing the cams to wear prematurely. These springs can be fitted but due to them being longer and stiffer the head will need modification to allow the base pressure as stated above to be achieved.
  18. Eventually found a figure however modifications are needed to the head and this is to use speedvision cams HYBRID 22-02-2010, 11:11 PM the base spring pressure to be used on uprated cams on our engines is 60ft lbs ... and i believe it was already stated that to fit sams springs on his cams you needed to get the spring base machined to lower the base pressure... same applies for cruise springs on our engines when fitting higher lift cams. kon
  19. "speedvision 21-02-2010, 10:34 PM sam do u know what spring pressure your ment to use? hey ryan i am not sure as to the correct figure so i usually leave it up to the engine builders who usually has the information..but again too much pressure will wear away quickly and u will have more clearance than usual which will lead to shim clearance being off and then noise.. sam" "speedvision 22-02-2010, 01:11 AM and surly buying both springs and cams from speedvisions is the correct set up other wise wouldent be made so i wouldent worry about them being more pressure as it should be c
  20. So finding threads from 2009-2010 it looks like a lot of people had issues with the cams as we know and the valve springs, however the valve springs it looks like people were just throwing them in and not checking the base pressure etc. causing the cams to where a lot quicker. I don't have any figures as of yet as it looked like a Mexican stand off between speedvision and the customers not to reveal too much
  21. I never said I don't need the information I said I can find that out by getting them tested. i.e specs of pressure when valve is closed and open then compare against other makes etc Also he wouldn't give me any specs which seemed a bit odd. To be honest after a little digging I've found 50% of people say they are fine and 50% say they are terrible and won't work !
  22. So I have found out I have some speedvision valve springs. Was wondering if anyone has any information at all on them I.e can they be used ? Can they be used with standard cams etc etc
  23. Emailed speedvision and they were speedvision valve springs but discontinued 6 years ago
