Im going to completely flush the system 1st. When I get time. Hopefully it should be right. As soon as I noticed the temp spike up, I immediately pulled over so hopefully it hasnt done too much damage.

They are indeed my mate... Id flush out the whole cooling system, rad the lot... clean it all up. Oil levels etc...Replace the thermostat. See how they go from there. Always best to do the smaller things than to jump straight to the HG. If you look after these cars they can be fantastic little cars. As far as im aware its an external wastegate CT9 setup on that car isn't it?

Thats right. External waste gate, hybrid ct9 @.9bar. HKS silent power decat full system, 421 manifold. 220bhp at the flywheel allegedly.

Hi. Yeah I bought the one in the pic from a fella in scotland. All in all, the car is in pretty good nick and has had alot of money spent on it with every receipt. The car does need abit of a spruce up and im more than prepared to spend on it...I just wasnt expecting to have this amount of trouble already. But owel, these things are sent to test us.

Hi guys. Im a newby here so I apologise if I sound abit thick.

Yesterday I picked up my 1st glanza. 170 miles into the maiden voyage home I noticed that all of a sudden the temp dropped on the heater to blowing cold air on any setting and the temp guage shot straight up to almost very top. As soon as I noticed I immediately pulled over and switched the engine off. The recovery guy told me "its probably just your thermostat as they are shit on these" however, when I've come to check it today, I've noticed there's hardly any oil in the engine and the radiator was bone dry. I've topped up the oil and filled the radiator and fired it up without the cap on the radiator. At idle its fine but under load it bubbles straight away. Could this be a blown head gasket? That's the only sign there is so far. No mayo, no white smoke or signs of water out of the exhaust, just bubbles. I've not done a compression test yet or a sniff check. What's your thoughts? What do I need to look for and where?

As the title says...just popped my glanza cherry and so far, its been awful. 170 miles after picking it up yesterday I've already blown the head gasket. Pi$$d off is an understatement.
