  1.

Moral of the story, dont overload the car haha.

Haha that is very true! Although it was unexpected, I didn't realise I'd have 4 people in the car at the time xD

Last question, anyone know of any places around Sheffield/Rotherham that would be able to align the adjustable pan hard rod? Or is it easy enough to do on the driveway?

  2. Thanks guys both confirmed what I thought may have been the case!

The shocks shouldn't be dead as when I picked them up the guy swapped out the rear shocks for some shocks that he had just purchased! It was the same when I had the teins on the same shocks too much weight in the car and it's scrubbing, I do need to get an adjustable panhard I know that for sure, but just wondered if there was any decent shocks available!

  3. As some will know I have gone from Stock shocks and Tein 40mm springs to BC racing coilovers and back to stock shocks but with RS*R 60mm springs instead.

Now I have an issue, as most will have already guessed the shocks are too soft and so with more than just me in the car the exhaust hits the axle and anymore people the tyres scrub constantly!

So I need advice on what shocks will be the best to go with the springs? I've looked and seen there's a few options but I'm not entirely clued up with what will be the best to go with them.

  4. I've just got a set of 185/55's fitted to mine, they feel and look much better than the previous tyres which were 185/60. They're Yokohama S drives, think they worked out about £195 from black circles, that's including delivery cost! And they're doing great imo! I'm running rsr 60mm springs and this is how it sits!

  5. Have you still got the shocks I sold you mate?

Heyup bud, yeah I have they're still fitted to the car, I've not had chance to sort anything else out just yet, one of them is stillcreaking haven't got round to checking it out yet, want me to text you?

  6. I sold a set of 4 with really good tyres, custom made centre caps and not too great paintwork, oh and a little damage to a lug hole for £180

Hope that helps you out a little bit

  7. I have some BC racing coilovers, but I have a slight suspicion one of the rear shocks may be on it way out, think it was when I bought them but didn't affect me, I'll let them go for £225 ono

  8. The new wheels look awesome mate!

Cheers mate! They'll be getting refurbed soon, going one colour as having the lip polished is a bit of a pain as there isn't really any dish :p but they should look good when done

  9. Little update! The car is back on lowering springs for a while now! The BC's just weren't my cup of tea! Raised them at least 30mm and they're still too harsh a ride for me to be dailying it. They're tolerable but I want some comfort and I'll save for some meisters in the future!

Unfortunately I have a feeling one of the rear shocks on the BC's may have gone a bit as it doesn't bounce straight back up like the others do, so I'll be selling them for a cheaper price than usual (be around £225 Ono) for anyone wondering.

Thankfully there isn't much difference aesthically. These are 60mm rsr springs on glanza shocks

  10. Not much has been happening recently! Been pre occupied and all I've done on the car so far is try to fix a few little niggles. Anyone have some advice/recommendations for loosening coilovers collars? WD has done nothing at all and a hammer and a completely flat screwdriver did not prevail either.

But at least I finally found out why the exhaust was smashing about, it's actually hitting the rear footwell as the exhaust curves around it but the guys who did it left about 5mm between the pipe and the footwell... So hopefully some stinger exhaust rubbers will

    Cure that!

But of a predicament too, I am going to be having the toms refurbed soon, and I reeeeeallt cannot decide on what colour to do the centres! I'm torn between silver, pearl white or a nice subtle gold, with the lip either silver or polished up a bit

  11. Oh right I get you! Mine are the opposite then tilt perfectly but don't slide :p well the passenger side does but not perfectly but I'm happy enough with it

  12. That's the issue with gt seats being put into a 91, not all the bolt holes like up 100%, I put my seat in the correct position before I bolted it in as the teeth in the sliders don't line up correctly or something, there is a way to fix it, I think amjad may have a fix for it

  13. Recently I purchased some 14" 6j toms alloys. The tyres they came with are 185/60 Toyo proxes (which are now old and have virtually no grip on the wet)

In my opinion the tyres look a bit too balloony on the alloys and so I've been browsing all over the place to try and find images of these spec alloys on different sized tyres so I can make a clearer decision.

They don't look as bad in the photo but they are a bit big.

I would have got 195/45's but there's a fair bit of controversy as to whether they are a good enough fit on 6j. If anyone has images of different sizes that'd be great, I just need some that aren't huge looking but are still wide enough so I have some decent grip. TIA

  14. The colours amazing. Was thinking of doing mine in it

Also think the wheels suit it better :)

Thanks a lot bud! Tbh I love the colour you've done yours! And isn't it crazy how just having a silver lip can make the colours on the car work so much better than just all black. Thanks!

  15. Thanks! Yeah I'm not the biggest fan of them either but after I saw these they were too good to pass up on plus they are a pretty rare wheel which is always good! They'll eventually be getting refurbed properly and I am tempted to have the centre done in a vintage gold or a light metallic grey
