Hi - this might be quite long, so please bear with me! I've just got in from the Bluewater meet and only just about managed to make it home! Heres what happened: This morning I went to Torque of the Devil to get my FPR setup for 1Bar. On the way to the dyno I noticed that the car was struggling a bit, like in 1st the revs would suddenly drop and nearly stall. After 10mins of driving it stopped. Got to the dyno, on she went running 15.5psi. But this was spiking a bit and was hitting fuel cut. The tuner asked if my JAM FCC was adjustable. Which it is, so he adjusted the JAM FCC to stop it from cutting. All was good and he did a few runs, he then advanced the timing to see if any power could be got through that, so he did, power increase but det/pinking so he put it back to standard. I left the dyno running 15.5psi with 158hp atf - 133hp atw - 180lb/ft. That doesn't sound right for 1Bar does it ? Anyway, as I was driving back home from the dyno the problem from earlier started again, but it was worse and the car kept stalling and struggling to run. So I turned around and went back to the dyno. The bloke said it must've been due to adjusting the JAM FCC, so he put the JAM FCC adjuster knob back to where it was and decreased the boost to 14psi. It made 150.3hp atf - 126hp atw - 170lbft. Drove home and the problem seemed to dissapear, drove fine, no stalling/cutting out. Anyway, driving back from BW the car was literally fucked. On the motorway when acclerating slowly from 2-4k rpm the car would hesitate and revs drop slightly only for a spit second, but then it got worse and the engine management light came on and it kept nearly stalling. I also noticed that it would only ever do this when I slightly press my foot on the throttle, under full boost it was fine. And when I touched the throttle the boost gauge in the dash would instantly go from fully - to + and my actual boost gauge wouldnt move (as I actually wasn't boosting). So the standard boost gauge would jump to full boost and it would drop in revs to about 1k and nearly stall even though I was only slightly touching the throttle. Kept happening every now and then, but I got it home. Any ideas what the fuck is wrong? I think its something to due with the JAM FCC, happened both before and after my dyno sesh. I think its the JAM FCC because the boost gauge is acting all wierd and engine management light coming on, revs dropping etc - surely it can't be something internally wrong with the engine? No smoke or anything. Help would be great lads/ladies! Sorry about the length, but thought I'd explain properly! Cheers, Chris.
