  1. Got some led sidelights so fitted them as it only takes 30 seconds Lots of light in the dark Also took these to show how different the paint is in different light As for the boost side of things I've decided to go for a standard 74mm block with standard internals with a td04 running off an E-manage blue. Hope to see 220bhp out of it which is ideal imo for a daily. Looking for a bare engine (sump, internals, block, head) to start with and build it up over 1-2 years then hopefully I'll get insurance on a turbo
  2. Look up dizzy decals on Facebook. If your on it. He does gel ones for £11 posted
  3. After thinking about it I've decided not to go for the bored out block because 1) can't do a compression test 2) 75mm Pistons are a lot of money and if the engine goes it's a lot of money wasted and 3) as I will be running standard limits for the time being with a td04, the extra hassle isn't worth it, easier to buy a standard fte block and go from there. Thanks for all your replies
  4. Cost much to get the work done ? Blocks never been compression tested so it's a bit risky
  5. Thanks for your replies, I have read that 75mm is the max it can be bored out to. Will probably end up getting a standard block and standard internals as I don't want to run too much power
  6. There's a block for sale near me had a lot of work done. Going for cheap. looking to see if anyone had some 75mm Pistons at a reasonable price before I commit. Thanks
  7. Have plans on building a turbo engine with most likely a td04 so will update in good time
  8. I'll have to have a go with that tomorrow. Cheers buddy
  9. I'm in Ireland mate so was going to see can I get everything here to save hassle. What's normally first to shit it's self if there's too much power ? I see the Emanage blues are quite a popular choice, would that be suitable ?
  10. Hi guys, as the title says I'm looking to build a 4efte engine of around 250 bhp. I'm just wondering a few things. What's the most power standard internals will take ? Gets into serious money if forged Pistons, rods etc are involved. What's the best turbo to use ? Td04 td05 or ct9 ? Will a standard ecu manage the power ? Or will I go piggyback ? And lastly, anything I should be careful or aware of when building it ? Thanks in advance, Joe
  11. If the callipers are large if imagine theyd need a slight bit more offset. Can't speak from experience though
  12. It's getting the clips on the deflector I've a problem with
  13. If I remember correctly Connor Browne "Browner" on ukso had 8J rota grids on his white V. Unsure of the offset though
  14. Cheers mate, lot more pics on my build thread
  15. I've 7J et25 on mine. Had to roll the rear a good bit for even them to fit. I'd imagine that size on the rear would be way too wide
  16. Would much rather use the clips as the cars only back from paint so if I ever take them off id imagine the paint will come off with them
  17. Right I'm sure this is a popular topic among this section and I've looked at previous threads but nothing definitive. Can some one please explain how the hell the oem wind deflectors clip on ?? I have the clips but I can't figure out for the life of me how they go on. Must have spent about 2 hours trying in total haha. Any help appreciated
  18. Yeah I'm very happy with it now, just a few little bits to do to have it perfect
  19. Couple of interior pics, nothing special Would like a carbon surround they're just so expensive And of course... Need some ideas to tidy up the engine bay make it look nicer if anyone has any suggestions, plan on polishing the bare metal bits on the cam cover Wheels in the sun.. Just a few little bits now to finish her off including -skirts -wire fogs in -attach spoiler properly -wire in another gauge -backbox (to be followed by a stainless car-back shortly)
  20. Yeah skirts are next on the list, will be chuffed then cheers mate
  21. Few more of the many many pics I took today. Must get some of the interior tomorrow as its all built up again now. So much nicer being clean rather than filled with tools parts and random bolts. Hope to get a backbox fitted shortly, finish the rear end off nicely.
