  1. Yeah it's full on mangled had the Pistons looked over and they're fine. Will be cleaning the head tomorrow and start making things look tidy. Then in summer I'll drop the FE and pull what I need them hopefully I'll have an apprenticeship starting in September to fund the build
  2. I'll show you a picture of the crank later on ! even worse haha
  3. Got more of it stripped today. Bought the socket to take the head bolts out ( 15 quid )and got the head off. All looks in good condition Pistons and rods are okay, bar rod 3 which is warped and scored. The end cap won't go back on and the piston is sticking. Bringing the Pistons to a specialist to get peace of mind later on today.
  4. Picked up a complete 4efte this evening. Bought it blindly for 100 euro with a bottom end knock. Stripped it down and found a hole going from the bottom of cylinder 1 to 2 and it has spun a rod bearing massively. Semi stripped Metal shavings off the magnetic sump plug Con-rod bearing from cylinder 3. Also ate the crank Fully stripped down Good news is that the head is okay, cams are good. Plan now is to use the crank and block from my FE and use the 4EFTE head and rods, Pistons.
  5. Picked this up today. Don't think it gives too much away....... All cleaned
  6. I personally would send it off to be rebuilt fully. At least you've peace of mind then and it will need balancing anyway

  10. Cheers guys, I would be porting the ct9 mani also. I might wait a while and get a proper td04 mani as I'm in no rush. What's the going rate roughly for a 2nd hand mild steel td04 mani ?
  11. Looks good pal, hard to find a clean one these days
  12. Cheers pal took a lot of research Yeah it's a whole lot cheaper than an aftermarket one
  13. Hi guys, just wondering if it would be possible to get a standard ct9 and modify it to accept a td04 ? Or is there any cheaper alternatives than wepr ect. ? Would love a wepr one as everyone says the best you can get just they're a pretty penny any help welcome
  14. Exciting times ahead, off to collect something next Thursday that I'm very fooking excited about.........
  15. Got the rear stripped and partially cleaned today. Will look a whole lot better when it matches the outside. Anyone know of anything that can be done to the fuel pump cover to make it look better ? Seen they do Kevlar covers for civics just wondered if there was anything about for a starlet. Also ordered a few goodies will update when they're here
  16. That engine is a work of art pal
  17. Wrapped the tubular bit until it's powdercoated as it annoying me
  18. Got my custom rear brace made today. Took 2 hours and was really straight forward. Got a standard front brace from my local starlet breaker for 15. I trimmed the rear plastics (yet to be tidied up don't worry) and trimmed the ends of the brace after cutting it into 2 workable pieces. After trimming the edges so I could bolt them down, I took 2" out of the middle of the brace and with a bit of smoothing it was near perfect. Disconnected the battery and tacked it into place while it was bolted into position. I did a weld the whole way round then grounded it smooth and another weld
