Because those holes had rough edges I thought that the engine was knackered as I couldn't imagine Toyota leaving it like that i imagined it would be smooth, anyway after taking the crank out I found another and looked at the shapes properly and they were identical, turns out it's all Bueno and I was just being a mong not knowing it was a factory finish

Right lads bought an fte engine the other day and saw a hole at the bottom of the block and thought it was fucked. I've since taken the crank out and I've noticed there's 1 at each end. The holes at first looked to be sharp edged as if they were damaged. But looking at it closer the holes are pretty much identical so makes me think they're supposed to be there ???

You've had plenty of hardship with this looks good though
